I've been looking at these. You can get them at Aldi and Groupon had them as well, both around £32. The reviews on the cozee home ones are very good and I like the fact you can return it if it's not up to scratch, however, I haven't bought one yet. Hoping someone might buy me one for Christmas.
Everyone's got loads of slankets, especially me. If you put a hot water bottle inside it's just about the same as a heated blanket but you can't adjust the temperature.
I like the sound of a heated throw / blanket. I certainly wouldn't be without my heated underblanket. My flat gets freezing cold (well 12c)in the winter and it's the one thing that really gets me through it.
Usually Lidl do a an electric blanket and / or heating pad under their in-house Silver Crest brand - which is very good and offers excellent quality at a very reasonable price. You might find that a small heating pad placed behind your back would suffice - if you also cover up with a non-heated blanket / fleecy throw. Saves lots of money on the heating bills.
I had a specialist come round here and he recommended storage heating - apparently they heat up at night and store the heat in a load of bricks. He recommended Creda / Dimplex units - but at £800 I'm not sure. Plus I'd have to change the energy tariff.
You can see the Lidl offers online and sometimes they deliver a magazine-style thing to the door.
If I see any electric overblankets or heating pads I'll post on here straightaway.
Plus Lidl's electrical stuff comes with a 3 year warranty - I took back my 2 year old fly zapper the other week and met no quibbling whatsoever!
I bought a Lakeland one about 7-8 years ago and it's still going strong (though it was pricey even in the sale (sorry I can't remember how much). I also have a heated back support (plugs into mains) from Lidl which suits me better now I get the hot flushes - that's a couple of years old too.
I have an electric under blanket for the coldest nights but I couldn’t live in a cold house. As a child we never had central heating and scraped ice off the windows some mornings. So as usual in winter we will just turn the heating up as needed.
I got a heated Cozee Home blanket from Q when it was reduced (As is, an old TSV) and when I was post op. last winter it was fantastic. I live in Spain but it still gets cold!
Britain's second best newspaper - The Times - is running a midweek promo coupon in the printed paper where one gets £5 off a spend of (I think) £30 or more - and the spend can be pretty much on anything. I used a similar promo to buy my bed 2 years ago.
