Has the 'coming through' season started?

If the coming through season has started it surely must mean that the Richard Jackson season is coming to an end, so for me that means we lose one thing that doesn't interest me and replace it with another.

It also means awful Basso is lurking round the corner!

The problem with having bought all these naff outfits to 'throw on' for the postman is that it gets a bit chilly waiting around for him starkers.

I mean, on the rare day he wont be bringing me QVC parcels, i could be waiting around all day!

Another Glenn favourite "edgy" While selling the TSV he was telling us quilted coats are all over the catwalk this season and with an "edgy twist" whatever that may mean.TSV looks fairly ordinary to me and I have been wearing quilted coats for years.

(Boris Bear wrote - 'I had never noticed this before but I've heard it mentioned twice today. Anne Dawson mentioned it earlier and now Lesley Ebetts has said that a Marla Wynne dress costing £70 is ok for answering the door to the postman (and walking the dog!).'

Thank goodness they said that - I thought I had to change into a door opening outfit for that! Now I can just keep on my Marla Wynne dress. The postman will be well chuffed as he gets really fed up when I shout out through the upstairs window that I will be down to open the door when I have changed into an appropriate outfit. Now if only I had a dog.......

Visions of legions of QVC customers rushing upstairs or down trying to look decent for the postman puts "dress it up, dress it down" in a whole new light.

I love getting into my old scruffy Marks and Sparks pjs when I get in, feel more comfortable, I keep expecting the Postie to hand me a new set of Jimmy jams though, every time he knocks, he always gives me that disproving "have you got them on again??!" look, honestly every single time I've had to open the door I've had the same Jimmy Jams on...........what are the odds. :mysmilie_17:

You really ought to surprise him in baby doll pyjamas, otherwise you will put the porn dvd industry out of business.

If I wore baby doll pyjamas I'd be putting the horror film DVD out of business.........I'd scare the bejesus out of him. :mysmilie_14:

Glen sold me the TSV today in the black. I really need such a coat (it's a coat on me - I'm short) for work that isn't my scruffy dog walking get up or my rather OTT faux fur. I'll be throwing it on with a little pair of skinny jeans (I work for the Council) and a roll neck sweater (no I won't they're too itchy on my neck) but no pumps. A little ankle boot or shootie will do the job. I thought the TSV was OK for the price but a little shiny. We'll see what it's like when it arrives.

As for the postman - he'll get my luminous pink Asda dressing gown and like it!

Pink dressing gown............I her yeh sister!

Don't forget the other old chestnuts - "this colour/style is going to be massive, it's on the catwalk/in all the shops at the moment", "celebs such as......:)mysmilie_51:insert any name here) have been seen wearing these", "buy more than one - give one as a gift/put it in your present drawer", "have you got a mum/nan/husband/cousin/friend/worst enemy/washing machine repairman/dentist/refuse collector, etc. who'd love one of these?"
And if it's bang on trend, it must be fashion forward as well.

Has no one thought how it all might look with 'city shorts' and a 'crisp white shirt'.

Oh Gawd. Don't get me going on this. "Coming through" and just about everything else that was mentioned is driving me potty. So are the phrases "Let's dip in." "Take a LIDDLE look." What about "twenny, thirdy and fordy." I'm going to have to go and boil my head to get the thoughts out of my brain. By the way, does Glen still not wear any socks? No, don't answer that. I don't think I can cope with that going round my head.

It's a bit like me wearing my Aldi pinny! Full one, with a bib. Well, you've never seen me when I cook!

If the celebs are wearing it then the very mention of that word makes me NOT buy it. Who the hell cares what the Kardashians are wearing (or not wearing). Who the hell are they anyway? I shall send Glen and Ms Flint a photo of me in my TSV and they can gush "oooh Candy Cane is wearing it this season, next season and all seasons in between - with socks as well". Hah.
