anyone ever tried ringing the call centre and asking if you could have something on easypay even though it wasnt officially offered?

if so, what happened?

i ordered a pilates machine a little while ago and it took ages for me to decide to go for it so i used to watch loads of the repeats. eventutally, after watching one of the repeat shows, i called later in the morning to order and asked for the easy pay and i was told that it was only available for during the hour of the showing. they were very firm and there was no negotiation open at all!

i get the impression that qvc phone operators do not have much discretionary power - they seem to follow a set script and if a query cannot be answered, they will refer it for a response at a later date...

Just mention 'Battersea life', in a roundabout way to them.
Also mentioning naming real names instead of synonyms.
They'll cough up no problem Burls.:thumbsup:
