The decorative candle holders look nice, but a bit pricey.

Seems like anyone can stick their name to a candle and off we go ! Easy money as they're the simplest thing in the world to make - wax, perfume and string. The most expensive part is the marketing.

Uh oh, this is just the kind of candle junk I like. I love all those pumpkin things and the meltables have got to be worth trying. Day before payday as well . . . .

I have a strange idea about the Slakin brand was sold years back in SpaceNK? None of the weird-looking jars simple black glass and it was said Elton John bought his brand. No doubt the brand has been sold on but still using the name.

Who the heck is Harry Slatkin?

'Harry Slatkin (born August 14, 1960) is an American businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist' - Wiki. As well as selling candles, Oprah & Elton John love him, he does a lot for autism charities. I had a look at a candle vlogger on youtube to get an idea about the frgrances, it gave me a laugh. I'll stay with St Eval & Vineyard :mysmilie_59:

Thinking about it, yes I know QVC is an American company so they'll flog American brands, but they have to be the antithapy of the slogan "Buy British ". Crackers isn't it ? An American company on British tv flogging imported American goods.

We know that most 'stuff' is produced in China, but imagine the uproar if a Chinese company - say Alibaba had their own channel where they sold their goods.

I'm always wryly amused by the way the British brands are introduced, usually with iconic somewhere in the description. I am pleased that Seasalt arrived on the Q in the spring, seems to have only had a few shows before all the items became 'special price', but I've had some great bargains.
