Im getting really depressed reading the reviews, both at qvc and amazon. Wish I had done my homework on this one. Its such a pain for me to return, probably this will end up in the shed for the thieves! still hoping it might be ok, there are a few positives. My dad said he got a steam mop for £25, not saying its like this one, but just goes to show, I dont think the tsv was such a good price.

You can always return it, and its over 4kgs, so they come and collect it for free, so don't open it, just take the invoice and put inside and ring and
return it free of charge

Just refuse the delivery when it arrives Tri. It will go back to Q and you don't have to pay the postage.

Don't get so caught up in the Saturday show, that makes you relax and your guard comes down and then you think its a good idea to order,

so remember that for next time, save your money :)

Yeah it was a touch of that I think, Anna, Phil parker and Tony Blackburn all doing the selling, if they need a bloke to drag up to boost sales, doesnt say much for the product does it?

Well as I said, I like it. No issues with mine. I usually take reviews with a pinch of salt, as a lot of people will be quick to write a review if they've had a problem, but not so swift to do so if they're satisfied.

Not much point beating yourself up about it, you can't cancel it as you've tried, so wait until it arrives and see how it is. If it's not suitable, give customer services a ring and get it collected. Of course, if it is faulty as opposed to change of mind, they will refund your P&P as well. Dependent on the reason you return the cleaner ( if that is what you decide to do) QVC may also collect / refund the P&P of the extra mops too. Chill out and relax, life's too short for unnecessary worrying. :sun:

Do what i do when i get tempted. i think to myself will i regret it tomorrow if i don't get it or will i think why did i order that i don't need it.
I have resisted the LE .TSV all day because i don't need it. Alternatively come on here and we'll talk you out of it.

It came today. Iv very dissapointed, Im not new to steam cleaning but I tried it out on both floors and running over the carpets, everything is sodden wet. You do know to expect some drips and a bit of excess water with steam cleaning but this has left my bedroom carpets soaked, and I only ran it along, didnt stay on them for long. Also the quality of it, its not too bad but was quite expensive when compared with what you can get. Its an average-below average steam mop, quite a lot of steam power but too much water coming out of the base and the tank dripping, its not practical. Maybe in summer when you can fling all windows open to dry the carpets.

Be very interested to see what anyone else who purchased the tsv thinks?

On the demonstration the guest (Phil?) put a tissue straight onto the floor that he'd just steamed and it was dry ........ ie. no water left behind. So either yours is faulty or the demonstration is a little suspect. My steam cleaner, which was considerably cheaper than that, doesn't leaves pools of water after I use it. If you decide not to keep it then, as others have said, ring CS and get them to collect it. (And then leave a review )

I have seen some other revews who question that tissue test. I think I know the secret. The steamer has 4 settings, so on the first, not much moisture left behind but on the 2nd and subsequent, which you need for cleaning power, everything is wet through!

You're right Tri. I've always been suspicious of that tissue test.

I've had 3 steamers now. Binned one, returned one, gave one to mum. The one i gave to her was the best, it was a shark pocket steam mop. Very good build quality but still too much trouble. She likes it for going round the cat bowls o it wasn't a total waste.

Get a mop and bucket.

I'd get them to collect it as faulty. Really wouldn't expect a steam cleaning to leave the floors pissing wet

I bought a steam mop from IW years ago and only used it once because it left the kitchen floor far too wet - flung it back in its box and into the cellar. Rediscovered it before Christmas during a major clear-out and thought I'd give it one last chance. Worked perfectly - think I was too impatient the first time and hadn't allowed it to build up a proper head of steam. It's become my favourite toy!!

just tried it again today, giving it a big test run before deciding to return. Well when you use it as a handheld steamer, it starts to get heavy after awhile, holding the tank in one hand and the attatchments in the other, Im not a weakling but my arm started to ache after short time. Also to use as a grament steamer, you have to use the window blade and put a cloth on, so the window blade still exposed so it drags along your clothes, and has snagged my silky curtains, great stuff!! I thought it came with a seperate attatchement for use as a garment steamer, didnt realise you had to use the window blade!

Sounds to me as if it's not working properly if it's leaving the floor sopping wet. I have the original H2O floor cleaner and a heavy duty cylinder Vax steamer with various attachments, and neither of them leave floors or carpets wet. Use them all the time on laminate flooring (have lots of paws dirtying the floors all the time) and laminate wouldn't survive being constantly wet. Maybe you've got a dud Tristar.

The cheap mop steamer by Beldray that was the Argos Deal of the Day for £29.99 ish before Christmas works really well. I got it for the tiles in the conservatory which never dry in the winter when using a mop and bucket as there isn't a lot of sun around. This does exactly what it says and cleans the floor leaving it dry to the touch. Also works well in the kitchen. I bought extra cloths from Amazon as Argos don't sell them separately.
