Yup, been wearing them over Emus here in the Kentish snowdrifts.. First year with Wintertrax - I've used GetaGrips with the studs for the past few years, and they're both utterly superb. The spikey ones clatter in supermarkets but don't slip. The Wintertrax are less noisy but are quite slippy on supermarket floors. Wouldn't dream of wearing either on wood. I carry normal shoes in a plastic bag in my handbag, and swap over once I'm at my destination. The faff is FAR less important than being able to walk with confidence.
I even managed to stay upright yesterday when a woman let her large and heavy dog race up and plant its paws on my shoulders...on an ice-sheet road where cars had given up trying.
