No snow to speak of here in Manchester, how about you? Have you been putting your WinterTrax though their paces? (and please don't tell me you had them over a pair of Emus!:puke:)

This is one product i now wish i'd have bought, why buy a pair of wintertrax when i could have another cleanse and polish i thought.
snowy, cold and icy in NW London.

No but I have ordered some for my 88 year old Nan who has had a lot of falls in the past 12 months. Whether she'll wear them or not I have no idea but I'm going to try and convince her.

I bought the two pair pack, and gave one to my DS, but his feet are size 14 so they probably won't fit him, and he's out in it now

playing in the park, and he couldn't find them. The only thing is he's 36 :)

My old mum loved the ones I got her so much she wouldn't take them off. Insists they help her balance. She'd be there, stomping over people's polished floors and I'm there with my knuckles in my mouth

Lol! - Quiz, take your own alcohol & nibbles.

You might need to take a St Bernard carrying the brandy with you in case of emergencies! Even with winter trax it might be a good idea to take the alcohol in a plastic bottle! :glass:

I have a different brand yaktrax. Very similar. They REALLY do work, but as posted on the other thread, you do have to be careful indoors on a smooth surface as without the ice to grip, they become very slippery. And they are not that easy to get on and off. I know it's a pain, but I take a pair of shoes to change into so I don't have to keep taking the trax off my boots.

I'm afraid Winter Trax over Emus is exactly the footgear I am planning for tomorrow. We were supposed to drive up the Coast tonight to MiL but weather's too bad, will try in the morning.

I still haven't seen a flake of snow here in West Cumbria. Not that I'm complaining though. I'm on call with work till a week on Monday, so I'm quite pleased to be honest.

Ooh I hope it stays like that! My babysitter for overnight next Friday has to drive down from Cumbria next Thursday so I'm crossing my fingers the roads up there don't get bad!

I've got a mum like that. Don't you just love them, but I wouldn't have her any other way.

Uh-uh

No, but I had my CanuckBoots on to go through a ShutUpTight main street this morning - HAD to go out and have the snow on my face. The CanuckCar EmergencyPack used to contain shovel, salt/sand, BottledWater, blanket, hat, chocolate, mittens, scarf, nibbles and a votive candle and matches. A lit candle in a stranded car can keep you from freezing. Also, the floor mats can be placed under the tyres if you need to 'rock' the car on an icy patch. HTH SnowlovingSnarly

Yep, had mine on (over karrimors, not emus). The snow here is up to one dog's chest and the other's tummy, they like to roll in it kicking it over themselves. It has been either snowy or icy all week so I'm glad I have them.
