Elemis TSV 19/03/21

Help Support ShoppingTelly:

I caved in and ordered the LOcc. TSV and like many of you if not great will go back.I did get the last Elemis TSV and have had good results with the Night Matrix and also use the Enzyme peel. This is me finding products I like and sticking to them! Fickle but this is ‘out of lockdown, new me’! Is that convincing?!
I used the serum and the Devine cream together last night. Nice products and lovely textures. This morning skin felt a bit dry and not as plump and I know its the retinol working. Will see how it is under the 30 day MBG. Ordered another set on advanced orders but if its not good I will cancel the auto delivery.

To add to the mix M&S are doing their highly rated Autograph range with a moisturiser and an Oil for around £26.00. I know this will be good and I prefer oils to serum. Let the battle of the skincare wars begin! :sneaky:

Someone on QVC Facebook complaining

Can’t believe the new Elemis TSV is only going to be on 2 easy pays, so many of us are on furlough because of Covid. Just the the people with plenty of spare money invited to this then. Disgraceful

All of us on furlough have no guarantee of returning to work so why on earth commit to an outgoing payment over four months for a non essential collection of gloop?

Mr V`s niece works in retail and she`s currently furloughed from a Clintons card shop with a Thorntons concession in it. She works on the Thorntons counter and the last thing she`s worried about is whether QVC put jars of face cream on easy pay. She has a mortgage and other bills to pay, just like many thousands of people who worry whether they`ll have a job to return to and such daft comments like the one on facebook just shows that not only do Q have people working for them who have no concept of reality but they have equally daft nutcases watching them !

Furlough=free money for not going to work. Why complain?

Furlough=being worried sick every day that there will not be a job to return to.

Furlough=crushing loneliness, I haven't had a proper one to one conversation since Christmas eve.

Furlough=guilt, I feel guilty that others are working while I'm at home, I do a bit of voluntary (tidying my local graveyard)

Furlough=depression

Plus, they have a CHOICE whether or not to purchase. What planet are these people on. Q, however deplorable, is a commercial enterprise, in a capitalist economy. Perhaps she should move to China or North Korea? PMT rant over.

Yes, it is worrying, but worry with pay is better than worry without.

No because if I was without pay my rent and council tax would be paid for me, as it is almost every penny of my furlough pay goes to my landlady and the council.

But your pension is taxed ! :(
I won't have enough to tax, because I'm furloughed I'm using my savings just to stay afloat

Furlough has just been a buffer - as soon as it finishes an awful lot will have no buffer and unless people have their heads in the sand of course they should be worried about what is around the corner . I reckon gloop on or not on easy pay is the last thing they need to think is a disgraceful situation, dying of Covid, not having enough to live on - that’s a worry.

old age brings very few pluses but having no mortgage is a big weight of your shoulders.

if employers have some working and some on furlough it can be very unfair , young mothers haven’t worked in our place for a year whereas myself who is technically in the vulnerable age group has been working except a few weeks at the very start. At present I’m being forced to take unused holidays and time worked up in 2018 whilst others who took their holidays etc are either working or on furlough. Basically a lot is office politics and yummy mummies are getting preference.

Oh Susie that is hard. Without being personal are you getting all help you are entitled to?

Lati, my furlough pay is about £5 over the cut off point for any help, I have some in my family who have never worked and had a career living off benefits and they have more disposable income than I do even when I'm working.

I empathise about working with yummy mummies, I always get last picks for holiday dates, always get to work bank holidays, boxing day, new years day, early shifts, late shifts because they can't do it, being left lone working because they can't come in due to a child having a tummy ache, the amount of times I hear the phrase 'I've got children'

I don’t understand the argument about not being able to afford it if it’s not on easypay. It’s still the best part of £70 whether you pay for it in one payment or several. If I was on furlough and didn’t have the £70 to pay in one go I wouldn’t buy. Its reckless to commit to future payments for something like this when things are so uncertain.

Totally. Great point, well made.

That's just so unfair. I hope they give you favours back. Perhaps start to say 'no' now & again? You don't have to give a reason, but if you feel better - you 'have an appointment'?
Re furlough - I feel all those things you feel too, but I try to be glass half full. Not easy. I hope your company are paying you the whole lot & not just the 80% from the gvt? If the former is true - then surely you are financially in the same position - albeit with the unhappiness that you speak of?
Please find a bubble? You can be in mine if you're in the Cotswolds & are single - we haven't 'spent' ours yet, itms?
Here's to better days - pecker up.

On the bright side, at least there are no scumbag bustards calling you a flat slag?

A child is not a passport to escaping the 'shitfs' on a repeated basis. Where is the child's father? Equal parenting? "I've got children" Well you've got a life.
