Back in 2019 up at the local shopping centre, I go to Sainsburys. There is a chemist which sells Dior, Lancôme etc. So I went in as they always had great sales, and I was looking for a perfume for a friend as it was her birthday shortly. She got a bottle of Vera Wang, which was around £20 in the sale. Anyway, I spotted a bottle of Hermes Caleche Soie de Parfum 100mls at £37! I nearly wiped the shelf out to grab it, if anyone else had tried to lift it there would have been a fight to the death over it. I love the classic Hermes, not a fan of the new ones Twill etc.

A similar thing happened to me a few years in Superdrug of all places. They were selling 200ml bottles of Versace Man Eau Fraiche for £23.00 each. It was obviously a massive pricing error on their part so I did question them about it but they were adamant it was the correct price so I bought the last three bottles they had in stock IIRC. All gone now though unfortunately.
I did buy a 100ml bottle earlier in the year and that was close to £40.00 so I really did grab a bargain that day.

It just shows from your comments how intrusive our choice of perfume can be to others! I have bottles which are kept in a dark box, goodness knows what they are like.If I do wear some perfume it is something very light like Clarins Eau Dynamisante.I have been to Japan & they are careful when they wear perfume so not to offend anyone else, but hey I am back in Britain & didn’t I know it!
As a migraine sufferer it’s been really difficult in work with colleagues drenching themselves so much, I’ve considered many times asking for a ban. I’ve walked in the lift and straight out again it was like a mini laboratory of smells. Even supermarket aisles reeking after the lady has left has been difficult. Since starting my latest migraine prevention meds, third attempt, I’ve had some relief with less sensitivity before that familiar migraine ping sensation would go off in my brain. It’s like ladies spray and don’t know when to stop.
