Hmpf! If this was just bodycare (obviously at 1/2 the price) I would be in - probably for both of these fragrances - one to try and one I know I like... but with the face care, and the price, I'm definitely out. Just as well as I've been shopping elsewhere for Christmas, including bath & body products already.
I have a question concerning the Frangipani Monoi: Can anyone describe this fragrance? Does this smell like a "beach fragrance" or like a certain sun protection? The point is, and I know I said I won't buy ;-), I cannot stand those beach fragrances as they cause nausea in my case.
Is it a kinda almondy, marzipan smell?

Its a heady white floral, Frangipani is a orchid. I find it very sickly and not nothing like sun cream or beachy.

I agree totally.
Me too. I hardly ever find a scent too strong or heady but this makes me feel quite ill. Only the purple MB gel is also too strong for me, but it doesn't make feel as bad as Frangipani. I shall go for the new green one.

QVC must be banking on this tsv selling out because they`ve wheeled out the big guns ( ie Fibby Flint ) on their facebook page to sing it`s praises and to rally the troops to buy oodles of them.
She`s also singing the praises of her best mate`s review of it on her so called beauty blog and the minions are all trying to outdo each other by telling us the`ve bought 2, 3 , 4 or more and they`re just soooooooooooo excited and can`t wait for it.

I was in John Lewis yesterday evening and had a quick sniff of the candles elemis are doing... the frangipani one knocked me back on my heels it was so strong! Don't mind frangipani scent in shower product, but it can be overpowering if layering with other stuff.
No, it's not beachy or sun creamy. It does make me think of exotic islands though, it's a heady exotic white floral with a hint of coconut. It's certainly a strong smell, not one that I could use every day, but I find it really lovely maybe once a week. I like to alternate body products a lot anyway.
