We only drink a couple of bottles a week , usually with our dinner on Saturday and Sunday but we always buy the wine from Aldi. Though I must admit Jam Shed do some lovely red wines but the Aldi dupes don`t fully live up to them. None the less Aldi have some great ones at good prices but neither of us are what you`d call wine experts. I have a dislike for very dry wines which rules out quite a few of their white ones but they do some lovely rose ones.

I agree. I used to buy my wine from Tesco when it was 25% off six bottles. Not any more, since Aldi have done wine of the week I've tried most of them, especially the more expensive ones that are usually around the £5 mark on offer. Never had a bad one, even the reds for around £3.99 have been fine. It's Aldi all the way for me!!

I agree went to a different Aldi today they only had 5 bottles on the shelf so I asked at checkout if they had anymore and he said loads how many do you want sorted.

OMG talk about being sick of a brand, it seems every time I decide to flip over to watch QVC they are flogging ad nauseum Cozee Home and Elemis, sick of it. Rant over.

I was given a bottle of Sauv Blanc at the weekend as part of an Xmas gift.
Yesterday given a bottle of Rojia sp.

Mr CC usually does the food shopping and Aldi is not one of his favourites. I'll need to get him round there and have a look. As we live in Scotland and you need both grandparents and an inside leg measurement to buy drink I'll get Mr CC to go on a booze cruise to the Berwick Aldi. Much better bargains there and you can buy as much as you like much cheaper.

I regularly shop in Asda Carlisle & you can tell the shoppers who’ve nipped down from over the border, their trolleys contain a bit of food & are piled high with wine & those huge 24 can boxes of beer, cider etc.
