Used to use it a long time ago but gave up because it was always quite runny no matter what I did.
Easier to pick up different flavours of yoghurt in the supermarket.

Easier to pick up different flavours of yoghurt in the supermarket.
After the hugely successful attempt with the vanilla sachet that was included with the unit, today I decided I'd do one of the chocolate sachets from the TSV pack. I prepped the water put in the powder and shook it like mad, as I was shaking I noticed that I hadn't got the lid on completely straight, so I went to remove the lid to screw it back on properly and it would not come off for love nor money. Oh had a go but had no joy then he said I'll run it under the hot tap, that always works. I said don't do that it'll mess up the yoghurt, thankfully he managed to get the top off, but I could see huge lumps of unmixed powder, so lid went back on (this time correctly) and I shook it and shook it again but could still see powder at the side and when I removed the lid again it still wasn't perfectly blended. I topped it up then gave it another few shakes and managed to get it looking blended enough, there was still a tiny trace of powder on the side but I completed the transaction by putting inside the unit with the boiling water and popped it in the cupboard to brew as I did last time. I'm not holding out too much hope on this one but again I'll let you know!

Come on Toril, don't shake in silence any more!Crikey, my shaking technique’s boring.I don’t drink so have never made a cocktail and I don’t sing “shake your booty” when doing it. I just shake it - in silence.

I am the opposite of James Bond, I tried shaking and the lid leaked and it splashed everywhere.
So now I have my yogurt "stirred, not shaken".

I am actually a singer, having fronted a band in the past, BUT I’ll stick with silent shaking because every batch of yoghurt that I’ve made has turned out perfectly and I’ve made dozens of litres. I can guarantee that if I start shaking musically that something will go wrong,
I'm now brewing up the Greek style rhubarb yoghurt, this really appeals to me so fingers crossed. The vanilla was delicious, the dessert style chocolate was ok, but nothing special. To me it tasted like you'd simply stirred some chocolate powder into some thick yoghurt so I was slightly disappointed although the consistency was fine. The Rhubarb one took very little shaking compared with the others as it was fully dissolved after only a few shakes and seemed a lot thinner though I could be imagining that. Tomorrow will tell, I really hope this isn't gonna be my first failure as I really fancy this flavour. Again I'll let you know!

My sentiment exactly! I could never get it to set and so it was money wasted. Aldi do lovely thick yogurt and hubby uses the pots in the garden. However, the Easiyo containers are great for storing dog treats so all is not lost…
Delicious, yes. High in sugar, yes. Expensive, yes.
My tries at the Easy Yo (many years ago) we're also a disaster. Like yours, mine were runny no matter how many times I tried. Eventually, I tossed it, machine and all. Seeing it now on QVC has tempted me to buy it again because the yogurt they show is always thick. But, I won't. Supermarket yogurt is good enough for me.
I'm not that sure about the claim that once you've tried this you'll never go back to shop bought yoghurt again 'cause in effect it is "shop bought" as you still need to buy the sachets. I know that stratto and maybe others make yoghurt more organically in this too, but they're are talking about the sachets when they do the demos. They're not cheap, especially if you have to buy them online which incurs extra in postage fees. What I love is the convenience and ease, the fact that it makes a large amount of yoghurt and as I'm the only yoghurt eater in the house a tub will last me a week. I love how the tub is compact enough not to take up too much room in the fridge and that it's airtight.
Is the yogurt you make as solid as the ones they make in the QVC demos?
I've made three lots so far and all of them have been of a good spoonable consistency. Nice and thick but not like those "set" yoghurts you can buy if that makes sense.
