I think I won't order because the lightest shade still appears quite dark to me.

I thought the same Ani and suspected that Fair and Light were swapped around, then I looked more closely and it seemed that Fair was a very thin layer so we could see the skin trough it. The 9 pm hour was disappointing with no swatches shown all blah-blah

The swatching is so poor. They always show us endless shots of “our lovely Mary” (or whoever) wearing the foundations, or that frame of all 6 in miniature, and they really hardly help me at all. In fact, the first four all look pretty much the same on the models and I’ve no idea which is more like my skin. They never vary it or tell us anything they haven’t already told us 100 times. It’s also always the same spiel which I can virtually quote word for word: “Fair is our lightest shade, for the fairest of the fair, skin that burns easily, then we have Light, which is a little bit warmer, then Light Medium, our most popular shade .....”. Yawn! Tell us something new!!! I really wish they would tell us which have more pink or more yellow, for example, or which suit skins with those pigments.

I noticed in the videos on QVC US, Doris says more than once that the new foundation is very good at adapting to your skin colour - I think she said more so than other Doll 10 foundations. They’ll probably start saying that if shades sell out, so people who would wear Light Medium buy Light or Medium instead (she said cynically). But in the US videos I don’t think they were selling out when Doris was saying it.

The AD has sold out or they've just taken it offline? I'm a bit suspicious because that would be every single shade in the AD had sold out

You love her really! :mysmilie_17:

I saw a bit of last night’s presentation so I finally got to see the white shoes everyone talks about. I think I know where she got them:

No, no Andi I really don’t. :mysmilie_3:

Those shoes were barely staying on Chloe Everton’s feet, mind you in the white shoes defence, they have done the rounds with all the presenters, think it’s only Charlie Brook who hasn’t worn them :mysmilie_17:

Eurgh! I’ll have to look out for them. Do you suppose they share everything in those dressing rooms?

They regularly share the vision of Simon wearing just a towel, returning to his dressing room following his shower

I agree there’s no consistency of shade when it comes to the Doll10 Fair foundations. The Hydragel, which I love for its coverage, is still too yellow for me because I have pink undertones (but the finish is so good I put up with the yellowness). The Hydralux is awful - so dark and so orange.

The swatches on air of this new foundation look really fair and that they might work on me, but even so, I don’t need the highlighter (have it already) or the cream blushes (have two) or the lipsticks (have loads ).

Does anyone have any recommendations for a foundation with coverage as good as Hydragel but a better colour match for a cool toned pale person?

I don’t know about the Doll 10 foundations as I tend to stick to the European ranges as I find they cater for the more pink tones or as they call cool undertones.The American ranges are generally too yellow for me so I avoid.

I have it on good authority :blush: that the Light in this Anti-Stress Skin Perfector (TSV) is:

- a smidge darker than the Light in HydraGel (maybe more creamy yellow than the more white-ish beige of HydraGel?):

- and definitely lighter than the Light in HydraLux (the latter being a bit more orange-y beige).

Have you ordered one Andi? (and received it already?)

Oh, could you tell us more about the mascara , the lippie and the rest?

I haven't tried things on yet, sorry, as it only arrived about an hour and a half ago. I've only swatched the foundation. However, I can tell you:

- the lipstick (Doll Kisses, on left in photo) is virtually identical with So Chic;

Lipstick.jpg

- the blush (She's A Doll, on right) is just a bit more red than Natural Beauty;

Blush.jpg

- the highlighter is not Champagne as stated on the website but Doll Glow (right in photo) and this is more gold where Champagne is paler, more shell;

Highlighter.jpg

- brush looks and feels lovely but not tried applying foundation with it yet, of course

- I am reluctant to try the mascara because I have so many others to use up, I'd rather not even open it.

Thank you for all the pics and the rest Andi! Of course you don't want to use the mascara when you have loads to use!
I did notice when demoed that the highlighter was more gold than champagne much like Laura Geller Gelato.

No worries. The mascara has been sold on the Doll 10 website (now sold out) and has mostly good reviews, if that helps.

I don't think in the presentation I saw they mentioned the name of the highlighter (or lipstick or blush??) but Doris did say it was brand new and I agree, it did look more gold. Trust Q to get it wrong on the website.

Oh, you are a star. So helpful, great post. Wished I'd seen this earlier as would have been so helpful (not your fault, obvs.) Stopped me buying though, & the lips/blushes/highlighters are so similar imo.

Yes, the blush and highlighters photographed above for comparison were from a TSV last year. The lipstick with that set (which I can’t find) was also a similar nude/pink/rose (the So Chic lippy above was from another set). I know brands obviously give us these shades because they suit most - and let’s face it, there’s not an infinite number of make-up colours you can use unless you are 15 - but the photos of the TSVs were so similar.

Well done for saving your money this time anyway. Too late for the TSV now but I’ll try the foundation and brush today.
