Giving Peter credit where its due he did manage to say once at a normal speed that the watch was plated to 2.5 microns, but whats this he has genuine solid gold on now :-O and its not a fib
Yes, doesn't tell u the weight of it tho does he & hang on, where's the actual size? Oh it's the usual tactic of blowing it up to masses of magnification on the plasma again!

is that the first time ever in Peter Simon's time on bid that he mentioned the p&p?, at £4.99 that's not a bad price with free p&p

PS describing the garish blue, pink & orange rose ornament... "Creations of wonderment ceramic & porcelain, death of the Queen Mum, the Bowes Lyon family, delicious jewellery ooops I mean porcelain" I think he's been at that wine he didn't shift!

Yeh in the small print it said it's still £1.53 for the call to order, may not be awful value but I bought lots of lovely paper in Asda's today, 50p a roll x.

No I didn't know know that but I do now, I also now know that award winning red wine is made from grain & grape, learn something new everyday lol! Hardly sold any of that plonk did they! Not surprising really as the champagne was £20 more than the web for 6 bottles of exactly the same stuff. They're the biggest discount channel network in the UK tho' don't forget!:giggle:

Hey Nikki please don't forget that Champagne is distilled, in this case for 2 years. It must be mighty strong fizz!

Did you see the way Peter Simon was pretending to be sophisticated as he quaffed and described his bubbly (which was of the Cristal family), laughable.

Jilly Goolden he most certainly is not, I expect to see James Russell selling it soon. No doubt he lived and worked in the Champagne region for several years and sold millions of pounds worth, much like he did with Opals when he lived in Australia.

I think you lot are being really mean to this poor man, who told us all only a couple of nights ago, that this year has been his "arabis boranalis!"

He is the only man in the world, who actually knows what that means. So there!

And he's the only man in the world who thinks a Yarvik is an iPad, that Secco is a wine and that Champagne is distilled :headbang:

And that a £13 bottle of fizzy plonk has anything remotely to do with Cristal.

On Pete and Elisa's show last Monday Elisa was talking about aurora borealis the northern lights and I think Pete has combined that term with annus horribilis to create his own phrase "arabis boranalis". It's exactly what they do when they create fake brand names ie. JP Gaultier and ST Dupont combined to create JP Dupont!

Don't forget the sound alikey brands. L'Oreal = Laurelle

Peter Simon pronounces it as L'Oreal anyway.

Haha! Love it!! I can almost hear them now! I can unfortunately also imagine that Sally woman screaming at people to buy & implying that we may not be the full sandwich if we don't!
Plonk...more like nitric oxide by the time it's gone through that distillation lol! :giggle:

Who is our Brenda? He just said that he hopes she was watching and managed to get the tanzanite earrings?

Also they're celebrating 10 years of the world renowned artist Stephen Gayford, I think tonight I'll have to forget watching sports personality of the year and watch this - far more entertaining! :giggle:

The ASA should have been watching Bid TV a moment ago!!!

It said on screen "'Paparadascha Ruby' Simulation Brilliant Cut Mystic Topaz (1/2 ct) Gold Overlay Pendant", yet Peter Simon conveniently forgot to mention the fact that it's a simulation, etc. on numerous occasions when I was watching, and getting worked up as if it was the real thing selling for a stupidly low price. Now he's going on about tanzanite's near extinction and how the value "absolutely spirals" as it becomes extinct; a piece that is 'delicious'...

How can he (and they) honestly get away with doing this?!?!?!

I just cant comprehend how they're still on air! Auction World got the chop years ago didn't they, seems Bid replaced them! I know we watch it & find it hilariously entertaining in a TV car crash way but on a serious note there are people being totally conned into buying something that's just not true & Bid & the ASA know it! The ASA upheld complaint conclusions are an absolute joke & are allowing free reign for Bid to lie their pants off continually! Like I said before, if I see more upheld complaints with such lame non existent penalties imposed by the ASA I will be writing to my MP.

He is, yet again, selling 'the last of the stock' of the Yarvik.

He just claimed it is 3G.

Didn't see much of this, but there was a promotion immediately afterwards for the Yarvik that featured TWO different times for when it would be on sale, therefore any "last of the stock" claim is a clear breach of ASA rules.

He said it was the last of the stock last night as well yet the website was advertising exactly the same deal afterwards (I posted yesterday evening to this effect, #31 in this thread).

He always says it, a proper liar and no mistake.
