Decleor TSV - 23/11/08

I have a question for all who use the Decleor Balms every night. How long does the 30ml pot of balm last you?

My reason for asking is I have heard both Fiona and Alison state that the 30ml balm will last you 6-8months and they show how much you use at a time. Now I use the right amount but using that amount there is NO way the 30ml pot lasts me 6 months. I seem to get about 4-5months. :hump:

It's hard to say because I use it for a while then go to something else then back again.

If I was to use it every night I do not think it would last as long as they say and I do try not to use too much.

I do like the idea of putting a balm or aromessence on my skin before anything else and I think the fragrances are soothing at bedtime.

When I have used the balms in the past, 30ml would last me about 4 months max - certainly not 6 - 8 months :31:

It is a bit like what they used to say about Molton Brown bath products - two cap fulls under running water - oh yeah, I don't think so!

Hi Sazza,
I use the balm every night and love it. But like you, a 30ml pot will only last about 4 months. Very tempted with today's tsv but I have the last Liz Earls tsv, so trying to resist!

I love the balms too but don't use them every night,I alternate with LE's superbalm concentrate so haven't a clue how long they last.
Sorry Sazza :52:
Didn't go for the tsv, either. Can't believe how many diehart Decleor fans haven't gone for this, just goes to show how carp it is valuewise :31:

I heard on the show this afternoon they had sold 7000. That is terrible - usually they say they've sold 14000 and sell out by 10am. I think Decleor might be regretting this package.

Although they don't have the latest additions to the range, I now buy all my Decleor from here: http://www.cheapsmells.com/index.php

I really can't see why anyone would buy the 15ml Aromessence Iris Night Balm from QVC for £30 + £3.45 p+p when you can get it from Cheapsmells in the 30ml size for £29.95 + 95p p+p or £2.15 p+p to Eire!:54:

Thank you so much for this link Mad Granny Sue. I can't believe the supersize Iris Balm - £51 on qvc, £24 on cheapsmells.

Apart from the whole "I can't afford it" issue - I haven't gone for this either. I quite fancy trying Decleor, especially the Aromessence oils or balms, but this doesn't tempt me. I don't fancy the exfolliant and don't haven enough ageing around my eyes at 34 to justify the serum.

I had to switch off this afternoon too as I couldn't bear Alison going into "Prestigious Salon Brand donchaknow" overload.

To me, this seems quite a specialised TSV. Definitely more suited to a more ahem "mature" skin. Surely they would have been better having a nice general gift, with perhaps a cleanser/toner/moisturiser/aromessence that might have appealed to a wider range. And no easy pay either, which is a bit unusual of late.

Thank you both, glad to know it is not just me!!!!

I think the phytopeel would be great in a salon facial but its not the easiest product for folks to use at home.

Agree with a previous poster it would be good to see some body products in a Decleor TSV, would make more sense for a christmas gift, not everyone loves their aromessences

I thought the TSV was rubbish and I didn't buy it.

Don't think anyone else did because it hasn't sold out yet.

hi miss qvc i was disapointed by the tsv as i was looking at a gift for my mum. this was more like a gift with purcahase . eye product full size(big deal) and some grotty peel no-one likes. 2 samples of aromessence i dont care they are samples and a sample of cream . with p&p costs nearly £50 quid. i think i will be buying stuff from cheapsmells . not impressed.

thanks thats the one. but i did have it under a new thread heading. many thanks for your reply.

I probably would have but.........

ummmmm i bought it,

I took a leaf out of another members book and checked my cupboards. I have two unopened Phytopeels, an unopened bottle of hydrotenseur + one I just opened, Aromessence Excellence from a try me and a jar of the Excellence Cream which I have barely touched. Add to that all the other must have products I have collected and I think I am sorted for the next 20 years. I did however go for the Gatineau as it had a new product which I wanted to try but its possible I have doubled up on other things in that. Since joining this forum, I am thinking much more carefully about what I buy. I watch QVC alone and having other peoples opinions and advice to refer to has stopped me purchasing quite a few things I was thinking of going for but didnt really need. My credit card thanks you all!! :40:
