I think 'larging it' is the appropriate term - the first week in September is now Bears Week in Sitges, so there is an abundance of, shall we say, more rotund gentlemen. I'm a skinny-minny that has been going to Sitges for donkeys years so refuse to make way for a bunch of fatties. The 'grazing' that goes on at the hotel breakfast buffet is a sight to behold! :giggle:

Omg I'm wondering if we go to th same hotel too now! :bandit:

I'd just like to say to non spanish speakers that El Horno actually means "The Oven" and doesn't refer to anything else, despite what it sounds like.

The darkroom at the back of the bar can get a bit saucy though :wait:

At this point I would like to explain that I own a replica Steiff bear who is called Boris because he came from Germany and that is where my user name originates from. Like others on here I have obviously had a sheltered life!

Well you two are going to be paranoid on your jaunts this year. "Is that you looking at me, or me looking at you?" GC here we come!

I'll bet you have dear!

Also said he'd meant to visit a little fishing village, the subject of one of the photos in the camera presentation "but had never made it"

Hmmmm!

I know lots of single boys who've been to GC several times and never saw much outside of their hotel rooms either
Was that before or after he said live on air that his groin felt stiff?!!! A friend of mine told me about a holiday company called Throb (lol) that specialise in holidays for gay men and they organise trips to the sand dunes. The mind boggles. I mean what if a bit of sand got in the wrong place??!!!! ahahahaahaa! There are lots of gay men on QVC. That Chateau d'Argent guys seems quite campy, as does the nail guy, Leighton Denny who pronounces "jojoba" like "Joe Joeba," instead of "hoe, hoeba!"I often go to Selfridges on Oxford Street and am amazed at the amount of gay men in there! I guess QVC is a bit like a on-screen department store. I've got to go there tomorrow to get my Clarins mineral eye SPF which has increased in price again :(

There are a lot of gay men who work on the cosmetic counters in Selfridges to be honest I prefer talking to them, although I do end up spending way more than I intended.

Oh I love this post, a real belly-rumbler ! I've colour coded my comments

1. Sand-friction probably heightens the "experience" !
2. is this what they call a "non sequitor" in academic circles ?

never mind the same hotel - you might have been in the same sand dune........er, room.

I've been loving this thread too. All the catty comments from the boys.

I thought Phil was referring to you BurlyBear. Are you one of those fatties grazing round the buffet table before waddling down to the dunes for some much needed exercise? lol

What a novel idea - getting your holiday snaps developed whilst relaxing over a drink. It must have been great back in the day but surely trade has tailed off in the age of digital cameras and smart phones.

Lool...! Wasn't there a song that went something like: "If you're fond of sand dunes and salty air.... then you've fallen in love with Old Cape Cod?!!" I think it was covered by Groove Armada but the original was by Patti Page. Youtube it! "Old Cape Cod" would serve well to describe a lot of nudist beaches. I had the misfortune to saunter through one in Croatia once. Never the sort of people you'd actually want to see there. Shrivelled prune penises, breasts sagging like two stretched fried eggs and other bits where the cobwebs hadn't been brushed away! Like Batman's cave! I've just found the video for that sand dune song. Ooh and whilst we're at it, how about The Chordettes: "Mr Sandman, bring me a dream. Make him the cutest that I've ever seen...bum bum bum bum! etc.
