Sorry this is nothing against u but why are u still posting wots coming up as TSV's after all the rubbish QVC have done to Graham. Ur helping give QVc more business that they dont deserve in the slightest.
 
As much as I support Graham,if SCW and others didn't do what they do the site would lose its followers.
Most of us come here for tips and advice on products,and QVC is a big part of that.
I am sure some of the people looking at QVC related stuff then click on some of the adverts,thus generating other income.
It's what Shoppingtelly is all about.
 
Love the cat Beazot and I agree with you. Supercoolwillow please continue with your postings they help me make much more sensible buying decisions.
 
I have to sort of agree with scbu, its giving QVC promotion they don't deserve at all

Two easy solutions I can think of. First is to only post the TSV advance details in the drop. The other is not to post a link in the main QVC section but just the item number.

I agree, it was be a total tragedy if people were to stop visiting and would make me feel even worse. So please keep shopping for VALUE products :)

The Q is the most popular and, in my opinion, the best shopping channel on tv. I can appreciate the problems Graham is experiencing and, consequently, sympathise with him, but a majority of posters log on to shoppingtelly to view the QVC news which constitutes a huge part of the success of this site. Personally, I have had no problems with the Q and am always keen to find out what future tsv launches will be and, as they are posted on this site, I always check on here to find out. People also give their opinions on products aired on the Q, good and bad, and this is helpful in allowing us to make a somewhat informed decision on whether or not to make a purchase. I agree with beazot; if everyone was to refrain from making any mention of the Q on the site, shoppingtelly.com would lose a lot of followers and, therefore, the site would not be as successful as it is and may even have to close down. The simple solution is, if you don't want to give the Q your business, don't shop with it. Don't read any news re the Q on this site. We all have freedom of choice.
 
Im not saying nobody should talk about QVc at all, i was only pointing out but giving TSV in advanced with the links to QVC's website is giving them more business. I agree with an earlier post mayb just post what the TSV is gonna be but dont link it to there website or post in the drop. I think alot of people visit this forum for peoples views on products and other peoples opinions on shows rather than because of TSV details. SCW u still have all the other shopping channels that u can post about upcoming shows and products. This is just my opinion and as Graham has posted and said hes happy for it to continue so ill let it go but i think if the wall of silence continues nxt year it mayb worth reconsidering doing this.
 
I agree scbu I think all TSV details should be in the drop. If people want to view them they would have to become members as opposed to casual lurkers who come here. to get the details and make no contribution either monetary or by posting. Just my opinion for what its worth

problem is i cant do what i do for other shopping channels as this is the only one i specialise in

Trouble with only posting tsv in the drop is that you don't get to attract new members if they cannot see what the site has to offer.
I admit that I haven't taken out VIP membership cause I spend enough time on here and think that I'll spend weeks going through the stuff in the ddrop but it is only a matter of time
 
I've been tempted to try this range following positive comments in previous threads, but the colours have put me off. I quite like the Mink though so might give a go this time.
 
Just my 2p.I have never paid to be part of an internet forum.It would take a lot for me to do that and who knows if this goes ahead,this may be the first to break my resolve! But its not something I've ever agreed with however good the reason may be.................sorry :sweat:
 
It is very much a two edge sword! If you post in Drop then people won't see what the site is about but equally it is unfair that people don't join the site and gain information from it. What we need to encourage is for people to become members of ST and donate if they wish to, as Graham posted earlier you can donate without becoming a VIP. As for QVC well we all know they are often not offering good value these days and what we are all looking for is value and more for our money so if you find a good deal on a brand stocked at QVC post and tell us!!! :happy:

Micro fleece bedding is wonderful. My neighbour bought a fitted bottom sheet in Lidl last week for £6.50 a double I think it was, it was purple. Trouble with Lidl is that the offers are usually only for one week.
It is only a matter of time before they appear on the high street but I waited 2 years and just caved in and bought it from QVC. I wash and try mine on a clothes airer the same day so back on the bed by the evening
