amen to that as M&S did 20% off kids pyjamas the other day & the pyjama bottoms i wanted were in it (in packs of 2) so i ordered 4 lots (2 of each kind) so 8 pairs now & at 20% off it was well worth it & should last me a while

A few times a year, the day after a 20% off event, the buggers have a sale - the 20% off leftovers are up at 50% off! I've been caught twice in the last year like this so I'm online at midnight after the 20% off finishes (even though I've picked up a "bargain" then), and if I'm really lucky, I can get the same stuff at a further reduction (like the £25 jeans I had for £20, but were £3(!!!!!!) in the sale :mysmilie_13:).

You'd be surprised. I often get their basics stuff on sale. Trick is to get in really early before they sell out. The new stock always comes back in at full price even if the sale is still on.

its rare you see even a pair of decent quailty pj bottoms in my size so i just have to snap them up as and when i can as ive seen other pj bottoms for one is just £25!!

I bought it yesterday in the animal print, QVC addiction is completely out of control again, need to try and get a grip on it.

I bought my two boys onesies last Christmas from MandMDirect for around £40 each, OK they were some sort of fancy ones, so I thought this price was good value for a onesie.

The price seems Ok but the P&P means you are paying more or less the original QVC price.

I have conquered my addiction and avoid impulse buys and always factor in the postage nowadays.I have the odd relapse but overall I'm quite proud of myself,......How long it will last, who knows......

I like the navy polka dot. But, at 5'10", it's not even worth me bothering ordering to see if it fits. I often hear people telling me that they wish they were tall, WHY? Nothing fits properly, and a onesie is a recipe for disaster. Hooray for Next and their tall onesies.

I hear your pain Ellaa ;) I am also 5'10" and need inside leg of 34"... I live in a lot of long tall Sally but it's so pricey that I end up getting lots off eBay... Their sales used to be good but now it's still expensive in the sale! I love their pj's and dressing gowns but the two onesies I've seen have been too much so maybe I should look at Next.
If you're at all handy, you could buy some nice lace and add to the bottom hem of standard pjs as I've done in the past!

You're right people always seem to say how great it would be to be tell but I've never liked it - ever since being the tallest in my primary school from age 4! And hate feeling too tall for heels.

Oh what a great tip of adding some lace to the bottom of pyjamas! Thanks loopy Lou :mysmilie_59:

I find long tall Sally rather pricey too, have to keep my eye on their sales. On the high street Next seem to have the best tall range, whereas the rest are all online. I know it's due to demand being lower, but it frustrates me that petites are getting increasingly better catered for and tall ranges are vanishing from the high street. I guess they have to use more fabric, and therefore higher cost price, with tall designs which must have something to do with it. Yet different leg lengths for men are never a problem.

I have the opposite, I can never find petites! Next is ok but not everything they do they offer in petite. I am lucky that I have a long leg so can get away with a standard leg but the length in tops, jackets etc usually come past my hips, grr! Coupled with tiny shoulders and a very generous 'top', I look ridiculous! Wouldn't it be nice to be a 'standard' size? I am still tempted by this onesie but don't want to break my abstinence from Q buying!!

On the subject of men, I wish they'd think about shorter lengths in tops for them too. Mr MK is 5' 8", so about average for a Welsh man! However, he also struggles with tops. He has longer legs and a shorter body like me. And he's muscley, broad shoulders, so most tops/coats hang off him and come way down his hips again. Why do clothes designers think we're all one shape?! How hard must it be to offer the one garment in even just two different lengths like a lot do with trousers? So very annoying!

Hi Ella, I'm 6ft so know exactly what you mean about it not fitting. I noticed the onsie looked short in the body on Debrann. I find M&S jeans in long are good for length but are usually a bit big on the waist. I like the Next tall range as they are longer in the body. Not keen on Long Tall Sally. Any other suggestions for good ranges?
Q

I'm ok in the body but short legs at only 5 ft and short arms. Arms can be mostly overcome bt 3/4 lenght designs but often when you alter trousers the shape is ruined, plus adds on to the price.

A good bargain is offset by alteration charges and if it is full price then it makes it all too expensive.

Unfortunately marks short lenght is very inconsistent (much like Q) so often they are still too long.

When shops stock petite they don't mean short - they mean beautifully proportioned all over. Plus size means bigger all over, chest, hips and very tall.

Yes they do often forget about longer bodies as well as legs! If m&s long jeans suit you (they would be half mast on me!) then suspect you may have a longer body than moi... That's what I like about LTS, they cater for all tall peeps including proportionally like arms etc.. And they're much more on trend that they used to be... But I'll stop promoting them!!

Apart from long tall Sally and the next tall ranges there is a website and catalogue called tallgirls.co.uk - some far too younng teenager but wome good and great for shoes.
For jeans I would definitely recommend GAP as they offer taller and longer sizes and loads of variety in fit and style - and better fit than m&s. Oh and Dorothy Perkins do a small tall range online only as does new look (or they did)... And funnily enough I get many of my long sleeved basics stretch tbshirts from primark (if I can put aside the guilt!). They are so long in body and arms and nice skinny fit. Even found some pjs long enough for me in there last year!
Hope they help!
