Can any one recommend a decent conditioner from QV? Have tried Ojon the one when you massage it turns to oil but find it does nothing for my hair. Need something deep conditioning as it has been coloured recently and is now on the dry side!:mail:

not sure whether Q do it but I got an A'kin conditioner as a free gift when DD and I ordered some products from mypure - it's a cream, you apply and leave in, which suits me fine, and I think I shall be buying another one as I really like it.

I really do not like any of the hair brands on QVC, and I think apart from John Ward I have tried them all - and swear by Aveda. They have a great Colour Conserve Strengthening treatment which I think is brilliant after my hair gets too dry. Their conditioner and shampoo from the Colour Conserve range are great too.

Shame they dont have a larger selection. I have spent and wasted money on haircare. Ojon I tried and sent back. Might have to tread the cobbles of the high street and have a look at Aveda. I know lots of people raved about the range when it was on the Q before. Cheers

I do like Ojon but when I use the Restoretive one I seem to lose a lot of hair!!!!!! Philip Kingley Elaster one is good. But my favourite is a brand not sold on QVC Kevin Murphy Born Again. I will say A'Kin is also excellent too. The trick I believe with these conditioners is to use them at least once a week without fail. Aveda since Estee Lauder bought them out is not as good, they changed ingredients and formulas too.

You sound like you could do with a protein treatment, too. My fave is Joico's K-Pak, which I used weekly to start, then fortnightly and now monthly. If you're passing Boots take a look at Lee Stafford's For Hair That Never Grows Past a Certain Length. It needs a conditioner after rinsing, as do all protein treatments (to be fair to him, LS is the only one who puts this on his packaging), or your hair will get brittle and snap easily. He also does a moisturising treatment (that doesn't need a conditioner follow-up). I've used high end brands like Kerastase and Redken and find results comparable with the LS products.

I also second Donna's rec of PK's Elasticizer. I chemically straighten and colour my hair, as well as blow-dry and straighten almost daily and my hair's in excellent nick with these products. Oh, and after trying just about every shampoo on the market (including various SLS free types), I rotate Charles Worthington's Moisture Seal (my hair loves argan oil products), Aussie Miracle Moist (hate the smell but damn, it's good!) and the Sleek and Shine Fructis. All of these moisturise my hair better than the pricey Kerastase I was sold by my salon!

Thanks Donna and alter ego. I tred Kerastase and again was not wowed by it. Kevin Murphy Born Again not heard of that brand but sounds good so will google that. I have seen Lee Stafford in Boots bright red colour if I remember. Will have a look as I have a decent boots near me. You have described my hair down to a tee it is quite brittle at the moment. Will also have a look at the elasticizer as well. Really appreciate the helpful feedback.

Wanted to thank you for the advice. Popped along to boots and got 3 for 2. Gave it a go yesterday evening. After one application my hair feels much better. Really pleased with the condition and how much easier it was to blow dry and straighten in. Many thanks for the tip. Extremely helpful.

Liz Earle

Hi there have you tried the Liz Earle haircare? The shampoo is gorgous and the conditioner for dry hair is wonderful. Thoroughly recommend it but you can always send it back if it doesn't suit.

My hair is fragile and I've gone through most brands including the QVC ones, best shampoo and conditioner I can recommend and have been using it for about 8 months is Fudge Torture Tonic, very very reasonable on the famous auction site. HTH
