I went right off Clinique when a beauty therapist told me a well known tip was to use the clarifying lotion to clean trolleys, as it was the only thing that got the wax off…. far too harsh for my face! When I first read this thread I thought WOW exciting! NOT!!! The bog-standard 3 step Clinique, boring, boring, macboring
And, which is way more interesting for me, finally they also have the Black Honey as a lip gloss! Years ago it was part of a limited edition.Noticed they have a new charcoal cleansing balm, doubt that will feature in the TSV as it’s probably targeted for more oily skin.
Nor do I…. I used it in my early twenties and it stripped my face of any oil and left it really sore…A lot of people have had a bad reaction to the clarifying lotion I personally don’t rate Clinique skincare.
Me 2 . Re tried Clinique on the similar tsv last year ( after experiencing the burning experiences of the clarifying lotion in my teenage years ) but really rate the 1.0The clarifying Lotion is available in different versions, after really many moons I use the 1.0 again (the old name was "Mild clarifying lotion") which doesn't contain any alcohol. My dry, sensitive skin doesn't have any problems with it, never had any bad reaction from using it. Those bad reactions happens mainly if one uses the wrong lotion, they contain alcohol which is harsh to the skin plus the other ingredients. I would always go for the 1.0, even bought the 400ml bottle with 55% off from the clinique page when they had some kind of special sale.
It's like paint stripper so harsh.I went right off Clinique when a beauty therapist told me a well known tip was to use the clarifying lotion to clean trolleys, as it was the only thing that got the wax off…. far too harsh for my face!
