Christmas with Yankee Candle TSV 29/10/16

Judging by the amount of hours they are on for, Yankee must be one of QVC's bestsellers. They have two fantastic brand ambassadors, and their shows are a pleasure to watch - an increasingly rare commodity on QVC! From the sudden influx of all the Portrait / US outlet jars, I can only assume that Q are pushing them so hard on price that a compromise has had to be reached. Why don't QVC ever know when they are on to a good thing, and have something worth nurturing? They put me in mind of the greedy format owners of the Great British Bake Off, who have shortsightedly thrown away a show that the BBC could have kept on air for years to come because C4 were waving more money under their noses, and they couldn't see the bigger picture.

last years ad christmas was not my favourite xmas scents. i would love red apple wreath, christmas eve and a nice fresh tree scent or christmas memories in a collection

Oh, I think I shall be able to resist this set! Thank goodness. Frosting is not for me, and the others are OK but not stunning.

I wonder what is happening with YC and Q supplies then. Clearly something has gone amiss. We have had all the AD issues and now this. Yet all the online shops seem to have their UK scents supplied, no problem. Does this ever get addressed anywhere, like on FB? I wish they would let us know what is going on.

What is the point of putting up all these ADs when you cannot complete them? and as they generate the most sales on Day 1 (afternwhich some are no longer available), YC know 60 or 90 days ahead what numbers they need to produce. Seems easy to me, so why is it going wrong?

im not going into it but its not quite as simple as it sounds

These are a bit of a mixed bag, aren't they?

Frosting (but with a different picture on the front) appears on the YC USA website... it's in their sale and gets a score of just under 4 stars.
About This Fragrance

A mouthwatering vanilla frosting flavor. We've brought back one of your treasured fragrances from the past for a limited time.

Soft & Cozy is a previously available fragrance and I find a few fragrance notes on an expired entry on one of the YC UK websites:

The fresh scent of soft towels warm from the dryer with notes of lemon, apple, lavender and lily.

I can't find info about Rose or Cappuccino either on US or UK sites, but maybe I'm not searching smart enough.

I would have expected either the Advent Pavilion : http://www.yankee.co.uk/advent-party-pavilion or Holiday Party Advent Calendar : http://www.yankee.co.uk/holiday-party-advent-calendar to be on the TSV leading up to Christmas... maybe last year's was a disaster and YC haven't produced as many overall this year? I'm sure I saw the pavilion in Boundary Mills... I didn't bother looking closely as these things tend to be tealights and votives which I can never be bothered with.

For anyone who does live close enough to Boundary Mills, when I went they were still doing the offer that someone mentioned earlier in the year on Scenterpieces... a Scenterpiece unit for £1 if buying 7 melt cups (which are £4.99 each)... which might be worth thinking about for the YC fanatic in your life (self-purchase in most cases, I suspect :mysmilie_8:)
