I know it's not QVC related but,Jenny from Together mentioned it the other day. Anyone enjoying 'Appletree Yard' BBC1? It's really gripping, I only got into it on Jenny's say so. She's a great gal, only small but always looks stunning!

It is brilliant, I'm kind of wishing I'd read the book first, although that would obviously have spoilt the surprise. It's looking like he has targeted her to frame her for something, with how careful he has been not to leave any evidence, and there's obviously some significance to the street camera thing. The end of the first episode was so shocking, I'm even wondering whether he arranged that. The only thing I find a bit unrealistic is that, if she'd gone somewhere in a professional capacity in the middle of the day (i.e. no alcohol involved), she'd have shagged him that quickly, although I know it can and does happen, and she wasn't putting out at home. Loving Unforgotten and Silent Witness, too, it's all about Winter telly.

I think he is a slime ball and a fantasist! And he hasn't even offered her a clean surface to have *** on! It is fantastic TV though.

That made me laugh so much. Got to get your priorities right!

I never got into Silent Witness and feel it's too late for me to start now because I wouldn't know the characters or background stories, but am loving Apple Tree Yard and Unforgotten too. Not forgetting No Offence which I sometimes watch again on +1 as soon as it's finished! Oh and the darkly weird Taboo. As you say, so much good stuff on telly, probably more so in Winter but I can always find a good series to get into. In fact, I sometimes think there's too much, especially with some of the excellent foreign series - I couldn't cope with Sky as well. Who needs Channel 16??

I bought the book for my kindle this week after watching the first two episodes. I know it might be considered strange to be reading and watching at the same time but they somehow compliment each other as I visualise the characters when reading and gathering thoughts and background to what I've already watched. I've only had two niggles so far, her husband is described as a big man in the book but not in the TV drama and the dress she wore to the party was nothing like the long sleeved black number described in the book.
I was worried earlier that I wouldn't be able to finish the book as I was reading my kindle in the bath, started to doze off and almost dropped it in the water! I knew there was a reason I had a waterproof cover for my first kindle other than for reading in pool on holiday.

It struck me as odd that when he sat there (like a horny teenager) going take your knickers off, she decided to go to the loo and do so, and then wriggled her way out of a pair of Spanx. As if!! Whip your thong off perhaps but Spanx?

Just to mention that the final episode of Apple Tree Yard is on tomorrow. They're sure to mention it at the end of tonight's episode, but some of you may turn over as soon as the credits roll and think you'll be able to see the last episode next Sunday (when the BAFTAs are on).

I haven't watched it yet, recorded it. I have just finished reading the book though.
