I've just noticed we're in for another treat tomorrow with the launch of a new fashion range from someone called Barbara Graffeo. Whilst I realise fashion taste is an entirely personal thing, I just wonder who would wear this little offering 153501?

Lots more lovely polyester to get excited about :giggle:

The rest of the range is little better. What IS IT with the Americans ? haven't they got it yet, that British women DO NOT dress (or want to be dressed) like their female counterparts over there !

Over the years there have been some really dire fabrics and designs coming from the other side of the pond, some have lasted like a bad case of the pox, and others have had a few shows and mercifully disappeared. All of the current crop from Nina Leonard, George Simonton, Tiana B, Attitudes by Renee, Ronni Nicole, Kim Meddlesom et al, are all churning out the same printed stock. If they each had a stall side by side displaying their wares, you'd be hard pushed to guess who produced what, as its all the same. !

I truly blame the buyers, because they are at the sharp end of agreeing to broadcast the stuff.

Leisure suits! What a coincidence. My husband and I spent most of today trying to remember the name of the company that used to specialise in Leisure suits on QVC, yonks ago. I think they then moved to Ideal World. South lodge - it came to us in the end, remember them?
I can remember a neighbour of ours who practically lived in them and would wear them with a thick gold belt and stillettos when she went out - tres chic, at the time, I was assured....:giggle::giggle:

You can still buy South Lodge stuff I believe. My mum has a few of their tracky sorry leisure suits.

Anyone else see "Graffeo" and hear "Guffalo" in their head?

Jude xx

That's *exactly* what I heard in my head when I first saw this woman's name Jude! A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood (and was far more frightened by QVC fashion than any imaginary creature encountered en route )

To go off-topic for a sec, my Dad has a friend who lives next door to Axel Scheffler and last Christmas he procured a copy of The Gruffalo, dedicated by Axel to my son, with an original never-to-be-repeated drawing of said Gruffalo grinning at my little boy! Cue paroxysms of delight in this house :mysmilie_852: :giggle:. I wanted to stick it on Ebay, sell it to some Yummy Mummy with an identically named son (there are thousands of them I know) and stack the proceeds off our mortgage, but I was over-ruled and it's now sitting proudly on a shelf in The Gruffalo Cave (otherwise known as my four year old's bedoom )

That's completely fab and I'm v. jealous. The Gruffalo rocks.

I thought "Gruffalo" too! Those wonderful books weren't around when my son was small but as some of my friends have had children later in life than me I have had the joy of reading them and buying Gruffalo gifts. Wish there was a Gruffalo inspired clothing range rather than the polyester fest that Q has in store for us .

I've seen Juicy Couture tracksuits along the lines of that ruffle design.

The only item I saw was the hideous patterned leggings - nuff said. More dire so called fashion on QVC.
