What is Jackie Kabler babbling on about? Are you a 'Joinette' presumably a wearer & lover of Join clothes.Well count me out I am not into this type of stretch, show every bump type of fabric. They look as though you could buy a top & after a short time you could have a dress--am sure they would 'drop' so much.I feel sorry for Caudelia in that jumpsuit she looks like Andy Pandy (at least she is too young to know AP!)

Much too expensive for what it is. I don't like the odd shapes and the harem trousers make me lol. So no i am not a joinette.

Join some "exclusive" nonexistent club that encourages you to spend money on unflattering trouser(s) that soon turn into a baggy mess? Not likely.

Nope, expensive hype. "Joinette?" good call on Joins part to try to make people feel they're part of a group, absolutely ridiculous, so I'll have to say I'm in the "Joinoff" camp.

I believe there is a FB group for people who buy Join stuff. I`m not a fan of baggy clothes, they do me no favours so I`ve never contemplated buying any of their stuff but from what I can gather the group is always singing its praises and vying with each other for who can buy and own the most pieces. All a bit childish IMO and it goes alongside candle groups, teddy bear groups, handbag groups, cosmetic brand groups etc for making me think of sheep following each other.

Nope don't care for any Q 'fashion' and don't get me started on Yong Kim. Watched DF for a while last night. Some of the items were surely meant as a joke, along with the prices.

It's all part of the psychology of selling on the telly. Talk about a "family" or different tribes (Mallynistas, Tartlettes...) to create a sense of belonging and increasing loyalty.

It works for some customers, and FB and other social media are deployed to ramp up that feeling amongst those customers.

Debbie Flint is the absolute queen of this sales approach, as she is with hard sell. She's no fool... and it's one of the reasons QVC seem to think she can do no wrong. The almost rabid loyalty of the BTY and other FB groups she has founded either directly or through her minions demonstrate the power of that sense of belonging.

QVC don't seem to have spared a moment's thoughts for those customers (a lot of those posting here, I fancy) who are alienated by this approach. Bit short-sighted, in my view... they need the people in both camps.

What other silly names can they come up with for brand loyalists?

So on the one hand they encourage you to buy QVC exclusives so you'll be wearing something no-one else has got and now they want you to feel like part of some "club" where you all buy the same stuff :taphead:

Obviously some people love the clothes or they wouldn't sell but they look a real mess to me and hardly suit any of the models, and also they are so incredibly expensive for what they are. Yong Kim is just as bad. Whatever happened to good tailoring? Those raggedy messy shapes strike me as variations on the tent maternity style. I'm not against handkerchief hems etc as they can look good but these just don't cut the mustard. They had a dress on the other day (YK I think) for about £150 and the presenters were banging on about "Oooh you could wear it to a wedding, christening, with a belt" but for that money I'm sure you could get something a lot nicer in any big department store or the Monsoon sale - where you can find much better quality and style and into big sizes too.

Well the cardigan she said she had two of the one with the big baggy gathered pockets looked awful on her when she put it on `modelling` it!! .... They`ll say anything to sell ...Chloe thinks Skechers should be more expensive and the `stylist` guest she`s on with just now was telling us a pair of trainers was a `transition` shoe that could take you into the evening .... not in my world they can`t ..... if I go out in the evening I don`t want to look like I`ve just been jogging .... and you can do yoga in some suede ankle boots ...they really are ridiculous ...just what do they take us for !!!

Not only can you do yoga in them you can wear them to the beach, as you do.

I'm not on FB but I can see visitors posts which I look at now and again.

99% of the stuff I have access to is fawning all over the presenters, 3 zillion YC/monkeys/bears, and asking the most stupid questions.

The other 1% tells the truth and every time I read one of those my first thought is "which forum member is that"

If QVC only listens to the 99% their ship is ultimately heading for the rocks. The people telling them the sun always shines out of their posterior, that greets every tsv with gasps and admiration... no wonder we are seeing such a narrowing of the product types sold by QVC. How daring! They launch another cosmetic/beauty brand! Not daring, at all... Daring would be venturing into new territory in a new market segment instead.

Best to avoid then, as I do!!! Unfortunately it seems to attract the same type of audience, who seem to have no real friends. Could be wrong but that's how it looks. :mysmilie_5:

I watched some of the YK show with Debbie Flint the other night and she looked like a humbug with her black and white lopsided tunic topped with a black and white striped cardigan. During the show they had some awful baggy 3/4 length trousers with pockets on the side. Not only would you need arms like a gorilla to reach the pocket but the trousers wouldn`t look out of place on the orphans in the film Oliver. Someone messaged the studio saying they already had these trousers, loved them and they were ordering another pair in a lighter colour for a wedding. I kid you not.
Here they are in all their ragbag glory !

There are a lot of posts asking what the Upcomming TSV is but of course we have know for weeks.

But then they also ask about times of shows which are available for everyone with a pair of eyes in their head to see.

There was a matching jacket with the same pleaty pockets which I felt was 4 pleaty pockets too many.
