I bought a black spinel 3 stand necklace from gems a couple of years ago the item no was 33487 .When i wear it, it really does sparkle and lots of people ask about it, at the time it was really hard to get any spinel at all and i could never find a ring to go with it so i had to have a black diamond in yellow gold to wear with it. but i may look out for more spinel now theres a bit more of it around in more colours.

black diamond -v- black spinel: only an expert would spot the difference! both are lovely and would invite comment.

am glad that spinel is coming back into fashion - the Victorians loved it.
