Agree - she looks like she's been in her granddaughter's wardrobe. With those silly boots it looks even worse. She's good for her age (despite the neck giving it away a bit), but when she gets done up like mutton by the stylists, like in this picture, it accentuates her age, rather than detracts from it.

I think it could be styled better. The frilly collar and puffed sleeves fit nicely and suit her frame. The rest has no shape and makes her look bigger. A thin belt would sort that, not a huge Kim and Co 'cumbersomebund'. Court shoes or sandals in a nude with a similar handbag would soften the look rather than the harsh black boots. Nude would also compliment the flowers on the dress.

My basic issue with it is that it's 3" too short. I'm not saying just because Pirjo is 70 means that she has to spend the rest of her life in a maxi dress, or a sensible twin-set and court shoes, but it's just too short, whether that's fair or not.
