I have the Absolute Eye Complex but I hardly use it since it doesn't do for me what it claims, and to this day I don't understand what all the fuss is about this gel. Tom says that it lifts the eyelids and lessens the eye bags, I'm not so sure about this. Perhaps I use very little as a 15 ml bottle lasts me over a year.
Up until a few weeks ago I didn't know that I had milia, because I thought that it was cholesterol like small bumps under the skin mostly on the top eye lid, until I read a review on the last TSV that read:
" I am surprised by many of the negative comments on this collection because although I don't have sensitive skin, the area around my eyes can react badly if I use a harsh product. I think this eye cream is superb, I had started to develop small milia under my eyes, only visible when I stretched the skin but they were definitely there. Well within a few days of use all have disappeared and the skin around my eyes looks and feels incredibly hydrated and remains so. I think the secret is to make sure the product doesn't actually get into the eye itself, just sweep it around the orbit of the eye.I would certainly buy this item as a single product again, a real must for me."
Then I remembered that when I stretch the lower lid I had some sand like bumps but didn't know what they were. After reading the review I took my magnifying mirror and stretched the under eye skin, just to find out that around 80% had gone! I was using the new eye cream for the new peptides and the hydration, not realising it was doing anything else.
thanks for the feedback Marina
that worked very quickly then as the cream is only just out/in recent TSV
hopefully it is not going to be too agressive over many more months use in this very delicate thin skinned area
one of things i keep in mind about Alpha H is that it is an Australian brand
and developed for the lots of sunshine conditions there
things like thickened skin (which Michelle often mentions) are a response/defense mainly to lots of sunshine
(while there is of course also the slow down in cell turn over as we age)
hence for instance i do not use LG every other night, more like every other week
and use more gentle forms of exfoliation in between
as i live in London, not Oz
also, SPF wise, putting on complete 50 SPF sunblock every morning
well, yes if i lived there, i can see why you would
and i can see the anti-aging benefits
however, in these conditions i am in
i also consider that our bodies need vitamin D
hence i take a slightly different approach
Michelle's skin seems to be thinning
and i am lucky that i am the same age as her
hence i can benefit from what she is developing to solve her own skin problems and aging
the new Liquid Laser Range seems to be adressing thinning skin (vs thickening skin)
also, i keep in mind that Alpha H as a company is based on their success with glycolic
and there seem now more gentle but effective acids (like lactic) out there
that i am in the process of learning about
and also to find a balance between fab immediate results and overdoing after months of use
(Michelle used the sending you skin to the gym analogy,
so i will use a jogging analogy
pounding the pavement jogging may have a good immediate effect on your mood and cardio fitness
and medium term effect on your weight and strength
but what if you have no knee cartilage left in the longer term ?
to me it is about finding that balance...)
