The La Soie gift set (La Mer dupes ), due in November, never turned up here - or anywhere?? They only had the serum from the range. I see they have the gift sets in now, but I bet they’ve sold out.

Above posted at the time. The sets were in the leaflet back then at £9.99 but in this Sun article, they say they are available now for £4.99. According to the website, however, they are £2.99! Another reason to think they will have sold out in seconds but I’m going today, just in case!

I tried the portofino type italian fragrance - 9.99.
Ghastly. Smells cheap - reminiscent of Old Spice & irritated Mr B's neck, causing redness & inflammation. Really horrible, imo.

No La Soie gift sets here today, sadly. They had a few bottles of the serum but they had had that before. They also had the Bonded (Olaplex dupe) gift sets and a foundation - again had already seen here. Never mind.

There are some beauty Specialbuys next week (Sunday after next), if anyone’s interested. I think they’ve all been around before, although the papers seem to keep writing them up as new launches second or third time round. Anyway, no matter … it’s not a bad thing if you liked it and want more.

I really like Last Soie serum so much so I bought a couple at from eBay more expensive but to me is worth it. I hope Aldi stock them again.

Don’t blame you - it’s still cheaper than the La Mer for sure! I haven’t tried mine yet but my shopaholic friend is in love with it and has restocked it as well. Last week when I went, they still had a few bottles in a box at one of the tills (alongside the conveyor belt) so keep an eye out.

Aldi are funny about their beauty special buys. I posted that I found the cleansing balm just after Christmas…wasn’t due to be out in store but there it was. And loads of it. So it’s really worth checking every single time you go shopping if you are after something that was out recently.

Same in mine. I don’t know if it was always like that, but the last few times I have visited, I have found beauty stuff (usually Specialbuys from previous weeks) all over the place. In December, I found some creams right in the middle of all the toys and next to a load of socks! I have a routine now where if there’s supposed to be a big load of new beauty SBs, I go straight to the area where those usually are and then I walk up and down all the middle aisles and check next to the tills as well as the conveyor belts. I am half expecting to find a foundation in a box next to the avocados before long!

Definitely agree with this. I haven’t been checking the Aldi beauty stuff out for very long so I don’t know if it was always a bit chaotic, but I noticed particularly the last couple of months that their dates are all over the place. Also, when I google new items they or the press say they are launching now, I often find articles from months previously. I don’t know if they’re coming back or just never appeared first time as I don’t have that historical knowledge of the Lacura range (she says as if it’s an academic discipline!).
