OH works in what's known as "Canesten Central" due to the heat. I'm another who picks up fungal infections easily (but I do have a few autoimmune issues), so was horrified to spot ringworm on the top of his foot, despite my nagging to use anti-fungals regularly. I got rid of it fairly quickly, but the fuss I made obviously made an impression as now I've got him into an anti-fungal prevention plan :mysmilie_10:

He tells me that ABC wash has definitely helped keep him fresher, but I stand over him making him use anti-fungal foot powder/spray on shift days and normal talc on non-shift days (I've yet to meet a bloke that dries between his toes properly so talc helps there).

Has anyone tried making their own tea tree oil talc by putting a few drops in a container with some powder? I've used it in a tub of bicarb to stick in the bath (my lovely old GP's suggestion) if I have thrush and it doesn't seem to get damp and clump.

i haven't got fungal problems yet ...but i find the tea soap from holland and barret really good for prickly heat/rash and the ultrasun family sun lotion on top to protect from the sun. i like this range but the body wash is very expensive. using the tea tree soap is fab plus i do actually prefer soap. faster in the shower.the wipes are very good.

I'm a huge fan of ABC as its perfect for both myself and my son to use - I often find I have reactions to specific products because I'm highly allergic to nuts so even the slightest scent of coconut or shear butter and I'm coming out in a rash, so the ABC really helps me keep clean and we've used it in our house now for about 10+ years and my son rarely gets sports or blemishes (he's now 23) and he's so lucky to have gone through the teenage years with only getting 1 spot here and there every time he got stressed (usually exam season)... I'd highly recommend it... but I'm not sure I'll be going for this TSV as I have 6 of the 1000ml bottles stockpiled, a little really does go a long way.

Thanks for the tip about the tea tree soap and prickly heat. I bought some when it was half price and had free p&p. Don't like the smell much but can live with it.

I to have auto immune issues so pick up these fungal infections really easily, so have to keep on top of it and find tea tree really helps.
I buy the Tea tree essential oil by the gallon!! and add it to every thing from L'ocitaine shower gell and all of our shampoo's and conditioner.
I also add it to cheap hand wash for the kitchen and bathroom.
I soak my feet in a bowl of warm water with sea salt and tea tree oil added to help with athletes foot. Then dry my feet REALLY WELL and then dab the neat oil on to affected area. Tea tree is one of the few essential oils you can use neat, all of the rest need to be diluted with either a carrier oil or alcohol.
It can also help keep biting insects away from you.

The last tsv was the first time I`d bought ABC and I must say I like it. I walk my dog everyday through long grass, woodland and around a local fishing lake and was eaten alive by insects last Summer. This Summer I`ve used the ABC daily and the bites have been few and far between. I must say a litre bottle seems to last forever, even with daily use but OH doesn`t use it, he prefers soap and so a bottle will last me much longer than it would for a family. Come the colder weather I`ll probably stop using it because there won`t be an issue with insects and even though the smell isn`t bad, it will be nice to revert to more perfumed shower gels over the Autumn and Winter.

The wonders of tea tree oil never cease to amaze me, I am currently nursing oral thrush (oh what fun) brought on by over prescribing dentists giving me a heavy dose of antib's for a non existent tooth infection. Remembering TT's anti fungal properties looked it up and it said dab on a slight dilution of TT/H2o onto tongue works and it does. I am using it as well as medicated anti fungal medicine occasionally. Most ironic thing is I have been following this thread since the start so must of helped me think on. I do sometimes use it watered down for mouth washes too. Not enough this time evidently.

A lot of people don't have the time to sit in front of a computer all day,it's a shopping forum any one can post items of interest it isn't down to one individual

True, which is why I appreciate it when Ian, and others do give us info I either don't have time to, or cannot, locate.

I'd be lost without the ABC wipes. I have some life-long chronic illnesses which sometimes mean I'm bed-bound for days, and no way could I get in a shower or bath without passing out. So I use the wipes for a good thorough body wash and they leave me feeling so clean and refreshed. That cool, soft and clean after-feeling is just as good as the skin wash that I use in the shower on good days. I currently buy most of my wipes from a lovely lady on EBay for around a fiver incl posting, but would love to buy a bulk supply from Q. So I'm hoping for a mix of multiple small packs and large packs of the wipes :)

How did you end up with 6? I got the last tsv and have a full litre bottle, and approx 1/3 of a litre. As you say, it does last a while. I'm going on a course tomorrow, and am taking the wipes with me. They will be handy in the car.

I was clearing the bathroom cabinet and stumbled across 4 at the back - no idea how they got there, maybe they multiple after so long...

Skin wash offer (two litres)

Just had an email from abcbeautyshop.co.uk. They have an offer on the skinwash. One litre plus a one litre eco refill for £45 post free.

I've just seen on Twitter that this is going to feature in the TSV...
