Ok, not quite that bad, but is Jill Franks the only presenter prepared to appear on screen right now? Almost every time I look in on Q, there she is. Aside from the fact that I don't like her presentation, it just drives me nuts seeing the same face over and over again on every product. I wonder if she works all her contracted hours in one big block so that she can take her long holidays.

I know, every time I turn over she seems to be on, I don't like her at all, she puts me right off watching.

I think the problem is that presenters seem to do a run of similar timeslots, so if for example they work a late night one day they won't do a morning the next day. This means that if you tend to switch on at the same time each day you have more chance of getting the same presenter several days running and unfortunately it generally seems to be a presenter you don't like.

Yeah, I think Boris Bear is right. I never see Cathy Taylor as she does the morning slot and I'm out at work. If I'm watching it's during the evening and occasionally weekend if there is someone I want to see or a guest I like.

I note that Miss Franks seems to draw a disproportionate amount of dissaproving posts on this forum. Is that fair, or is she really that ordinary, as a sales assistant on a satellite TV shopping channel?

She does so because she is so disproportionately awful and is so disproportionately omnipresent on QVC.

Ordinary is an excellent adjective, but in Jill's world she's extraordinary and thinks we all find the minutiae of her life matters to us. She also has a terrible memory for the exaggerated wonderfulness she told us about the previous brand she presented which smacks of insincerity or even fibbing!

But shopping TV needs people like this or we'd have less to talk about!

Sorry that last comment got submitted before I meant it to. She's on again and doing my head in fawning all over that Nina Leonard guy. 'I love you like a sister ' he said when she went in for the smooch while wearing a faux fur bolero! O h god she's just done it again while saying goodbye. 'Mwah, Mwah,Mwah'. Pass the sick bucket. Never seen anything so false!!!!!!

On bank holiday weekends you will see the same presenter on during the evenings and then the next morning. Carmel did this before she had her baby. And before she left, of course.

Ann Dawson has just said that she's at QVC every Saturday, so that's another presenter I prefer not to watch who just happens to work at the times I can watch. Oh well at least it's a reason to pull my finger out and go to the supermarket.

I agree that switching on at the same time, can lead to 'perhaps' seeing the same presenter, HOWEVER, for many weeks now, JF has appeared on a regular nightly basis, in fact I brought this up on another thread some time ago, about it being the Jill Franks Show ! When was the last time Simon Biagi did an evening slot, Jackie, or Claire, - and even Debbie Flint and Julia Roberts present fewer evening shows these days. Something to do with having a family life perhaps ?

I think she's hilarious, she doesn't bother me. I can take her or leave her, but I never seem to see her as much as others do.

She is the most controversial presenter on there, she is the most hated but also the most talked about. I think if she were ordinary she would be ignored. She isn't a favorite of mine, but I have no problems with her either. There are far more annoying presenters imo.

I love that jill franks is such a divisive figure.

People generally only focus on the negatives as positive stuff is simply what we expect.
