As a general rule 1 micron of plating wears away every two years on gold plated jewellery. So ask how thick the plating is on the jewellery you are considering buying and remember that things like rings will suffer above average wear and earrings less.

Wasn't impressed with the demo I saw on it. In one close up shot, quickly cut away from, you could quite clearly see that it had not cut neatly and in another had to cut more than once. Clamping the paper so it does not move is a good idea though. Will be interested to read what people think...

With regard to Arran Aromatics, QVC prices are much the same as on the AA online shop however, with orders over £35 AA are currently offering free postage, so if you were thinking of ordering more than one item from QVC you will probably be better off ordering direct from AA.

Have to agree with those who think Purity is drying and tastes vile if you happen to get it near your mouth. Another cleanser that does the same is the SBC one, though I have to say the SBC one works well in terms of taking off make-up.

In a word BORING!

Life is too short to spend time ironing sheets, pillowcases and teatowels. I do have a friends who takes ironing to the extreme and she irons underpants and socks!!!!!!!!!!! Sheets get creased the first time you sleep on them or do other things :o)

If you wear the item daily (all day every day, even in the shower) then in my experience it takes the plating about three months to show wear and about eighteen months to totally wear off. If you wear the pieces only occasionally then the plating would probably last for years. For some reason...

I have to put in a word for Gatineau Defilift. It seems expensive at first glance but you only have to use the tiniest amount. A full pump from the bottle is too much so it lasts for ages and it works. Don't expect an instant miracle but after about a month you should see an improvement.

I'd go with the Tom Tom, clear audio instructions, clear wide screen with good graphics and visual prompts, good instructions, easy to programme. On the down side it probably takes slightly longer to install than some others.
