Hi Well, after my initial happiness with the grill pan TSV, it has dissolved to sadness.... After 6 weeks! I've followed all the instructions (no dishwasher, preheat times etc) and the silicon/rubberised topping on the top 'plate' of the pan has begun to look like it's perishing - and bits...

Did anyone see the 'German AY' the other week? I thought she was fantastic. Although not classically beautiful she was well groomed, nicely made up, and really looked like she looked after herself, and used products that worked for her (and played to her strengths) - AND she knew her onions...

I bought it and was pleasantly surprised. if you accept that it isnt going to be exactly the same as oven or hob-top cooking, it is fine. I am only cooking for myself with it, and it is easier to heat it up than heating the whole oven - I've tried oven chips in it, a toasty, and veggie...

I find the sex-faces he pulls when eating Easiyo with that stern looking Jilly Jones really rather offputting, and had to turn off the TV when he was on with her recently.... I like Easiyo, but I certainly dont pull that face - maybe that's just me though:giggle:

AY is saying that you can 'peel off your dark circles under your eyes' with the Alpha H eye duo. I thought that dark circles were to do with circulation to the area under the eye and skin pigmentation - not thickened and dead skin as she seems to claim. How is this so? Is our Resident Beauty...

I must admit I was tempted for the same reason as your mum, (I saw the last version on air a while ago) my problem was weakness in my thumbs to twist the opener, but I have recently bought a battery powered can opener which is great and seals off the sharp edges (but no knife sharpener)

I got the TKMaxx ones and was pretty impressed - I think they were about £5 for 10 - but in lots of colours (some a bit garish) and varying prices. Must admit I was sceptical but am impressed now, and will prob go back for more
