I apologise for my absence these last few weeks. I have let things go and I'm sure I need to los a stone. I haven't beenat the gym and I've been letting some of my old bad habits creep back in. For the next week, I'll be attempting to keep things in moderation. Thankfully, I haven't been buying...

Our old friend the Elemis TSV back again

The most recent Liz Earle TSV has had a few outings too. it was a TSV in October and sold for £49.80 and is now selling for £60.00. I am sure I saw it as a Hot Pick a few weeks ago.

    What's Best Kindle or Kubo

My daughter got the basic Kindle last week (the £69 one) and she persuaded me to get one too (admittedly, we had been having a few glasses of the vino). It's just been despatched and I'm quite excited about it. My DD says that it has encouraged her to read more, and, as I haven't been reading as...

Thank you Madge, a voice of reaason and sanity! I struggled financially when my children were small. We were vegetarian for a few years, but it wasn't any cheaper as a lot of the food we ate came from health food shops, which were costly. And, depite my considerable skills as a cook, a lot of...

I listened to a very interesting programme on Radio 4 the other day which described how religious organisations are distributing food to the needy in the UK, mostly victims of the recession. The programme was an eye-opener and I hope the link works http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01p6ryz As...

    Laura Geller TSV December

I'm very pleased with it, especially the eyeshadows. I am having lunch out tomorrow, and expect to look stunning!

Too right. Unless you adopt the complete vegan lifestyle, we will always have to use animals, or their by-products, in some form or another. I have a vegan cousin, and she finds it very difficult to stick to her principles. And, may I add, they are HER principles, not ones she imposes on others...

If a fellow QVC addict came round at Christmas.....

It's reminded me too, Tiddlywinks! I am using a Kipling bag at present and I wear Birkis as slippers. I have a couple of the Pre-zerve jewellery boxes in my bedroom and a faux-fur throw on the bed. I have just moved house, Burlz, so everyone has to get 'the tour', including my bedroom!

If a fellow QVC addict came round at Christmas.....

Yankee Candles (hall and lounge), Liz Earle, L'Occitane (bathroom) and, more than likely, my jewellery. I have Northern Nights sheets on the bed and my dressing table is packed with Liz Earle, Laura Geller, Bare Minerals and L'Occitane. Does the bedroom count?

    Lola Rose TSV 14/12/12

This looks rather pretty, love the teal and the smokey obsidian. It's £35 on the Lola Rose site, so Q's £25 looks like a bargain! http://www.lolarose.co.uk/jewellery/tumble-bracelets/faris

    Laura Geller TSV December

I bought it on the strength of the QVC page and the opinions here. I've just moved house and haven't quite got the telly sorted, so haven't seen it in real life. Hoping it lives up to the promise!!

I too am sorely tempted and it's the easy pays that did it. I use BE foundtion as it covers my broken veins better than the rest, but I alway carry B&B in my bag for touch ups. Apart from the blush, I would use everthing else....stop me buying!

    Best discovery of 2012

Primer! I had a BE and a LG primer in my stash, probably both from TSVs, and eventually got round to using them. I cannot believe how much longer it makes my foundation last. I use BE foundation, which is pretty long-lasting anyhow, but primer really keeps the top-ups to a minimum. My daughter...

What's going on with all this free P&P then?

I'd say that's the case, Frazzled. I suspect every retailer (online and the 'dreaded high street') will be trying to squeeze every last penny out of us this year. My family and I have decided to do without this year in an effort to save a few pounds. I'm in the middle of a house move, one son is...

How true, petpixie. It's much easier to keep motivated when losing than maintaining. I know that as we get older our metabolism slows down and we need less food to stay the same but it is SO difficult to do this! (I am 53 and have been through the menopause.) I will mainly be eating plenty of...

    2012 Support thread

I will second everything Karen says, particularly about keeping going to the group. I lost 7stone 2 lbs with WW and, for a while, I was a leader. Changes in circumstances at home meant I gave up leadership and I began to slack in my eating habits. As I am a regular at the gym, I thought I'd be...
