What a hilarious evening on TJC! Sabrina became ill just after 10 tonight so the producer Mike had to present the show. He was funny for all the wrong reasons - not a clue what was happening next and no idea about the items he was selling! And the final straw was that he was wearing orange...

I don't think that was Tim Goodwin. He appeared on the short lived Argos TV. I suspect the guy you'ree thinking of was Alan (the chap who famously cracked a TV screen while saying it was unbreakable!) He disappeared from QVC shortly after that incident.

They've been selling these recently on TJC (though what they have to do with jewellery escapes me!) BTW, I see Christmas in July is a day early on Friday 24th July instead of the usual 25th. Do QVC think that people won't buy Christmas stuff on a Saturday?

Thanks for that. So basically, QVC are saving money by not having staff in till 2am. Another retrograde step I think!

Saw him 'presenting' the Tower Pans Pick of the Day (yes, yet again!) and he cracked the 'joke' about "my wrists went a long time ago." Strangely enough, he used exactly the same line the last time I was unlucky enough to flick to IW!

I remember the programme rundown at 8.57am with the great QVC theme. My young daughter used to dance around the living room when it was on! Bring back the original QVC music!

I remember they sold a menswear range of jumpers with Sir Steve Redgrave called 5G which only lasted a couple of weeks. I agree that I would like to see more menswear, even a few Centigrade jackets would be good (I'm such an anorak!)

Surely if they stuck or peeled Tower would have to replace or refund them beacuse of the 10 year guarantee?

I must say that having not bought anything from IW for some time I was tempted by the Pick of the Day Tower Ceramic Pans set for £99.99 (and 3 flexi-pays!). It seems like a bargain, and you get a 10 year guarantee from Tower. Bought them in Sage as our kitchen is green. Anyone else bought this...

It was only a few weeks ago that TJC were shouting about being on Freeview 24 hours a day. Now I see they are off air from midnight till 3am. A cost cutting measure perhaps? I am in total agreement with all the comments about the dark sets and poor lighting. Have a look on the QVC website at the pictures of their new reception and waiting area - what a contrast! Modern, lovely lines and white with a purple seating area - exactly what I imagined their new studio set...

Does that mean that the TSV is going to be launched at 9am every day from now on, or is this just a one-off?
