    Grand Opening....

Totally agree Bauble, clean lines, lots of white, may be voile and sofas for softeness; well lit and unfussy. This all looks like NDF inserts and someone having gone crazy with their Jig saw.

    Beauty Day-Bare Minerals TSV 14/7/12

Not a huge fan of B.E. but bought a kit a few years back from the high street (shock horror!! A.Y.) I dip into now and again as I refuse to bin things. Waste not want not and all that. I am drawn to the eye shadows on display as I'm a total colour magpie and last time I was in 'samurai shopping'...

Emma Hardie Eye Serum - Milia

Thanks Snarly and Marina for this informative thread. Have a stash of Decleor and Akin oils but may order some Raspberry seed oil to add to body cream. Would love to hear from everyone at a later date with updates on usage. Particularly interested in the anti-inflammatory properties and whether...

Observations on Carmel, Anna and Mikheal (not sure how to spell it)

I think it's not so much how something is said or sounds but what is said. One of the blonde presenters refers quite often to her 'mummy'. Is this regional? Class? I find it odd, I have to say. She is generally very affected and acterish (if that is even a word) as a few of them are.

Observations on Carmel, Anna and Mikheal (not sure how to spell it)

Seriously, just watching Jill Franks with Linda P and her therapies. JF hasn't got the details right for the couple of sets I've seen her flog and she interrupts, cutting Linda off and ruining her flow. Really poor. Not seen the newbies commit these shopping telly crimes. Once saw JF paw an...

Observations on Carmel, Anna and Mikheal (not sure how to spell it)

Well to be honest Gem Genie I don't think they're being lazy they more likely want to exclude you, and me and 'the establishment' from their banter. That's the whole divided society, 'excluded sections of' bit, et a. They choose to sound as different to those elements of society they feel as...

Observations on Carmel, Anna and Mikheal (not sure how to spell it)

Yes, weird the accent thing, like London/south east is the original templet from which all the rest are corrupted. Tres amusing. And as long as QVC wants to sell to the rest of the UK it needs to represent us all 'by eck'. And back on the original subject I really don't mind the newbies. I maybe...

Crikey! What's up with everyone today. Accents! Really! As a northerner roll on more of them on telly. There is no such thing as accentless!!!!! Love the Irish, Welsh, Scot , regional and even London.

    Omg red head Diana

lighting conditions are not guaranteed in the real world therefore these products can't be relied on to get you through the day without being pointed at by children and sniggered at by teenagers.

    Omg red head Diana

did anyone see when Laura had just applied Spackle to a model and they moved on to Balance and brighten. They did the half face demo and the presenter, Pippa I think, said the producer had pointed out how greasy the models skin was in the none Band B side. So that would be the Spackle then...

    Omg red head Diana

you wouldn't be suggesting that Diana, of indeterminate age, who's face may well be her fortune, has been botoxed? Considering she been Laura Gellered She looks fine. She doing better than Amanda did in the 4pm show when Laura attacked her face with 'complexion' products and made her look grotty.

    Judith Williams TSV 4th June

I agree with you janie, very frustrating presentations yesterday concentrating not on the products and what they can do for you, how to use etc but on and on about the cost of each item. Shameful!

    Fiona Brackenbury from Decleor

Always very amusing when someone chooses to air every thought and feels hurt by the response! Valene you sound very young. Enjoy your unlined youth. Wrinkles/age/weight are not moral issues and if your lucky enough to live to a ripe old age you will no doubt experience them too. I don't have...

    YBF returning to QVC??

Looks like she on in Canada (shopping channel) June 5th. Makes it unlikely she'll be flogging stuff in UK the day b4. She was always entertaining, can't vouch for the stuff, but sure there was something about a lawsuit against QVC USA.

    Liz Earle Colour

LE is about my age them. Showing the same signs of age. Slight loss of definition around the jaw, nothing too extreme. The top lip going. Touch crepey on the eyelids. That sort of thing. I don't have age spots as yet. I'm compelled to say she looks good for her age! Not especially young or well...

    Liz Earle Colour

Had a look at the Q and was shocked by the prices. No blurb there to suggest the range is 'au naturel' or ethical. Whats the selling point? Not remotely tempted by the range. Had the skin tint samples sent to me and found them very wet. Also I get a little annoyed that having bought LE in the...

Cheap skincare - is it worth it?

Boffy I get what you mean about petroleum based products. I don't like them. They don't work for me. I am held together by scar tissue and Bio-Oil was useless and unpleasant. They do work for some as they operate mainly as a barrier like the stuff prescribed for eczema. My child was prescribed...

Cheap skincare - is it worth it?

Think one of the biggest factors in ageing is hormonal changes. Don't buy into the hype that if only you had 'stepped up' to a more expensive range you could have made a difference, or fall for that other chestnut about not changing products too often because that will confuse your skin. If I...

Smashbox Pulling out of QVC UK

The peachy colours of the soft lights did look fab. Wouldn't say I'd use it as strongly as they do. They really swirl that brush around in the product. Shame the Q are selective about which product demos go on line. Don't see why this one didn't go on. There's no price change.
