Is this the most expensive thing on QVC?

If I spent that much money on something from QVC, I would expect it to arrive in a gold carriage drawn by 4 dappled horses, hand-wrapped in genuine incense-infused Egyptian parchment, and sprinkled liberally with fairy dust by Jennifer Kirk

    pig in a poke

I had a look at 'Pig in the Poke' website, they sell a case of 12 for £120 (delivery free) so that's £10 a bottle. QVC's works out at £12.71 a bottle if you include the postage (£9.95!!!!!). We usually get our wine from Virgin - lots of special offers and we honestly have never had a bad bottle...

    Food Prices? Like... Get Real?

I really hate watching food demos on QVC. Even if it's something I normally like (which is most things!) the presentations always manage to make me feel queasy . Tons of chocolate, heavy-looking pies and sizzling meat looking greasy under studio lights. Not to mention presenters oohing...

Susan Graver TSV - from bad to worse

It is gobsmackingly awful. It won't keep you warm and it isn't remotely 'autumnal'. It looks like a hairdresser's overall - from about 1970.

    On trend Autumn clothes anyone???

Those skirts look like cellophane wrappings for posh choccies or Easter eggs. :mysmilie_460:

The Real Pie Company products overpriced?

Gosh, I make my own pies - how radical is that

    50 hours of posting fun!

I have 2 Kim tops - one a plain black which I bought YONKS ago. The quality is very good, it's heavier than the stuff she does now and is just one of those handy things to have in the wardrobe. The other is one of her more sober prints, again from a good while ago, and I still wear it now and...

    Is it just me? ...

The fact that the 'before' pictures look better than the 'after' says it all..... More is obviously more with this range - yuk yuk yuk

    lotus tsv

I've only ever bought Birkenstocks from QVC, alas my dog has chewed one of them - I do wish he would chew the cheapies from Shoe Zone lol! What annoys me is that you are rarely told a) The width fitting - vital for me as I have wide feet b) Whether they are leather or man-made (it doesn't...

What was your first purchase from QVC and why?

We got cable back in 1999, and I watched QVC (on and off) from then. First purchase was a dark green leather jewellery box, which still sits on my chest of drawers and is still used. It is good quality and I was very pleased with it.

    What are your beauty confessions?

The brands I've tried, and like, are Gatineau (cleanser/toner), L'Occitane, Lulu (night cream only) and Liz Earle. I sometimes buy these from QVC, but not always. I like to ring the changes and try different brands, but often go back to old favourites such as Nivea. I'm not one for loads of...

    Michele Hope New Collection

Great for Chelsea Flower Show - just don't stand still too long!

Julia is wearing the Size 6!!!!

I have a pair of DG jeans I bought a while ago. They are a 12 and are a good fit round the bum but big round the waist - really need a belt! I have great trouble with sizing - partly due to middle-age spread (yes, it is real!!) changing my shape and (though I am fighting it) my size. I would say...

    Bibi Bijoux

I always think 'trailer trash' when I see it (the jewellery, not the people wearing it!). Ridiculously over-priced. And why does everything have to be HEARTS? I guess because they're easy and symetrical. Why can't we have leaves, or elephants, or bananas or something...

    I've reached my threshold

I can only agree with many of the posts here. What really widdles me off now is their stock handling. Once upon a time, they would get in a variety of stock ready for a particular show, or set of shows. When the stock was sold, that was it. I didn't watch the Yankee shows over the weekend, but...

    Casual and co TSV

Yes, so nice to see COTTON! I quite like the bodice on the TSV dress but it's a bit full and flouncy for me. Not keen on busy prints either, I may have been tempted by plain pink though...

Should Men Of A Certain Age .....

Shoes? Shoes? We don't have shoes, we have 'a little flat pump', or 'kitten heels', or 'a wedge'. Presumably to go with our 'little trouser'.

LULU who are you tryna fool??U cannot fool US!

I like the products too! Well actually I've only tried the night cream but thought it probably the best I've ever used. NO cream is going to make anyone look like a 21 year old nymphette (unless you are one already I guess), but this did at least make my skin feel good and look better. I bought...

    Bedding Grump

That is, of course, what any sensible person would do Burlz:nod: However my nice, smooth, stretched bottom sheet looks like a lunar landscape in the morning, thanks to OH's fidegeting so I'm loath to get an even bigger sheet for him to ruin... I do like the idea of the shirts though  -...

    Bedding Grump

I do like some of the Northern Nights bedding and would like to try it, but WHY can't they sell just the duvet cover and pillowcases. I've got a king-size quilt on a double bed, and the bottom sheet would be too big (I don't have feather beds, toppers etc.). Also, I only want 2 pillowcases, not...
