    Nails..................

As menopuase goes, I seem to have got off fairly lightly SO FAR !!!! Aside from the nails, and the battle with the mid-life fat cells (stubbornly settling on what was once my waist) my biggest gripe is that my fingers have got bigger and none of my rings now fit  I've never really...

    Nails..................

Oooh, lots of replies - thank you all, have some new things to try, definitely some retail therapy needed :sun:

    Nails..................

OK perhaps this isn't the place for this, but I'm feeling like 'poo' as I've fallen over and hurt my ribs  My nails are a disgrace - have become really flaky and weak in the last few years. Nail Envy doesn't work any more, Sally Hansen never did. Can you lovely QVC'ers recommend...

Lulu Guinness Accessories TSV Saturday the 21st April

I'm sure Lulu G is a lovely lady, but I keep thinking of Dolores Umbridge (Harry Potter) when I see her! Perhaps she will do a nice line in twee kitten plates and frilly bows :cheeky:

Lulu Guinness Accessories TSV Saturday the 21st April

I think I must have faulty chromosomes or something, because I just don't 'get' the handbag thing!! I can honestly say that I never notice women's handbags (unless, perhaps, they are huge with purple giraffes on or something :sun:) I use one bag all the time and use it till it gets tatty (it's...

    the scary ladies of QVC!

Yes, I find Lulu G scarily odd, she reminds me of the Dolores Umbridge character from Harry Potter.... Suarti - get a new hat love. The Pilates lady - she doesn't look well

Glen Campbell is a bit of a fraud - discuss

Well, if Glen can come up with some clothes that repel mud and dog hair, some snazzy gilets (cos I live and die in them) and shoes that don't leak, I may be interested! Yes, I'd love to look like Audrey Hepburn and jet off to Paree in my little pump and a nice white tee, but the reality is...

    M & S not Centigrade

I fell out of love a bit with M&S in recent years. I find their sizing inconsistent, and sometimes the quality is not that good. Their t-shirts are too short and come up very small on the shoulders - or maybe it's just me that's a funny shape  However their workwear is very good (but I'm...

    anyone remember "Coty" ?

Another 'blast from the past' - 'Kiku' by Faberge It came in bright yellow packaging - I used to love the round plastic talc tub, complete with tassel - though it the height of sophistication !! Sister used to wear 'Rive Gauche' (Dior??). I used to wear Chanel's Coco but find it too heavy...

    anyone remember "Coty" ?

Still around - House of Bath sell Coty, Tweed, and even 4711 Eau de Cologne (my Gran's fave). Can't seem to post the link. I used to LOVE Aqua Manda

    The Gatineau 'Trap'

I didn't have any problems with my skin until about 10 years ago. I came out in a nasty, weepy, excema-like sore on my lower leg and ended up at the doc. It healed, but I had a major excema break-out all over arms and legs and was itchy and sore for ages. Doc thought it was an allergic reaction...

What christmas presents have you bought from QVC

Don't 'do' Christmas presents any more. My family stopped giving each other gifts some years ago (other than my great-nephews, who get money) and we no longer give to OH's 3 (grown-up) children. OH and I do exchange presents, his is on order but not from QVC. Mine will be from a list, and will...

    Is it me or...

I wasn't sure about this as meat, lamb especially, IS expensive. So I had a look at a company I've bought meat from before, whose products are of the very highest welfare standards, additive free, small farms, rare breeds, locally slaughtered etc. etc. Their stuff is known to be top notch (and...

In the Kitchen Featuring Morphy Richards TSV Mon 21st Nov

I never drank coffee until I started work, and then I went straight in to the strong stuff! Boyfriend at the time couldn't bear instant, so we always had filter of cafetiere (the days before fancy machines!). I worked in California for a year and got 'hooked' - Starbucks was only just beginning...

    Am I alone?

Oh, it's nice to know I'm not alone! I have only ever once been to a big work 'do' (I hired a dress on that occasion). I worked for a large telecomms firm with a primarily young workforce (I was fairly elderly at 33). It was awful - the loos were full of weeping, vomiting girlies who had...

    Brucie

OMG does he SING!!! Why didn't he stick to the piano playing - he's not a half bad jazz pianist. But I don't like him anyway

    The Best Item

I'm still using the very first thing I bought way back in 1999, so I'll vote for that. It's a leather jewellery box which, although not huge, holds loads of stuff, and still looks as good as new! I also love my Trespass fleeces

    Did Anyone Buy Neom Candles?

I must admit I've gone off Yankee - some are OK but find them a tad sickly. I generally just use them to get rid of 'muddy dog' smells  Voluspa are lovely - John Lewis used to sell them but haven't seen them for ages. The HomeSense stores are good for luxury candles, if you're lucky...
