Does Anyone Know Why Shaun Isn't Presenting Consumer Choice

Dunno, but I've noticed that he doesn't appear to present any of the craft shows. I suppose the presenters liken them to having drawn the short straw. Shaun is one of Ideal World's (two?) longest serving presenters - there from day one. I suppose he's entitled to some perks. :flower:

    MyFreeBingoMoney

They appear to have some unique offers that aren't available elsewhere. It's not a complete con, but not far from it in my opinion. I've been to a few pub bingo evenings. Great laugh: pay a fiver that goes to charity or some local good cause; everyone gets drunk and ends up not knowing what...

IW Head Office Phone Number Not Premium, Not India.

Well, the obvious solution is the publish the geographic number for customer services. It really annoys me when companies expect customers to call a premium rate number for customer services. It gives out a very bad image.

Diddy Derek of Jewellery Fame Presenting Garry Vacuum

It looks as old fashion and ugly as the Oreck which is sold by QVC. The online reviews for Garry don't seem to be very good.

    Pricing?

It appears the item you purchased is still avilable from Ideal World, see product number 141254. The only difference between it and the POTD (item number 159140) is that the POTD comes with two extras: a straining spoon and a spatula. Wow!

More dodgy activity from Ideal World

The latest wheeze from Ideal World: six months of free bingo for £30, plus P&P of course! See http://www.idealworld.tv/_161286.aspx. What do punters get for their money? It appears the company behind it, myfreebingomoney.com, scours the Interweb searching for freebie bingo offers on behalf of...

    Christmas Delivery

I stopped ordering from Ideal World several years ago because of delivery problems. I recently gave in to temptation and order three things from them. All three items arrived within three or four days of my order being placed. Perhaps they are making more of an effort now. Or, perhaps I was...

Ideal World launches premium rate SMS service

I've just noticed that Ideal World has launched a premium rate text service for customers to use to send them comments. Each message costs 25p + one standard network message charge. Ideal World is probably pocketing at least 10p for each text message they receive. I don't know about anyone...

does iw know theres a recession on

They sell lots of cheap tat too. :) Many of their target audience probably aren't affected much by Gordon Brown's world recession. You only have to listen to the phone callers, and emails they read out, to realise their average shoppers are elderly woman who are probably living off a nice...

    Are you hairy?

You have to laugh at Ideal World. Yesterday morning they were flogging Super Million Hair to people who don't have enough hair... in the right places. Today it's a Rio Laser Hair Removal BlockBuster for people who have hair... in the wrong places. It's a shame those who have too much hair...

    Andy Love and Joanne Puttrich

Did you see the midnight hour last night (4th Sep)? I've always sat on the fence as far as Andy Love is concerned. Not particularly liking or disliking him. He was very entertaining at midnight last night. Did more joking and telling of stories than selling. I've jumped off the fence now...

    Trucolor sunglasses

Seems like a good deal even without the Neverlost Promise. Just wondering what the "basic cost of post & packing" is for a replacement. I bought something before, pens I think, that came with a similar promise. Unfortunately the P&P cost to replace a lost item meant few people would bother to...

    IW not broadcasting 0100-0500hr

Freeview? Ideal World leases its Freeview capacity to a soft porn premium rate chat service during the night time. I think it's Babestation on channel 33.

But such a silly name. Sounds like a downstairs waxing system. :34:

6 weeks and still aint got my item...

Very poor service. I can't imagine they're that busy. For £9.99 I would expect next day delivery, not six week delivery!

    No 2 Minutes Silence?

I don't think flicking through TV channels is really in keeping with what the two minute silence is all about. Personally, I'm not fussed about it. However, I would expect those who do support it to SWITCH THE TV OFF, stop what they're doing, and use the two minutes for thought, contemplation...

    New products!!!

I can believe Ideal World sold fireworks. Times must be really tough for them. Has anyone else noticed the names of the fireworks? Terminator; Bone Breaker; and the worst of all Eye Of The Storm.

    Appalling Customer Service

Yep, my Father had terrible problems with Ideal World's customer service too: long telephone calls that didn't get him anywhere and emails bounced back as unread or undelivered. Coincidently he ordered six garden lights from QVC, but only five arrived in the box. Father fired off an email...
