The bug which has been going around QVC

Sounds horrible, hate to think people will have their Christmas spoilt by this. Last year my mum was ill in bed all Christmas day, a few years before that she was in hospital on Christmas Eve and ill over Christmas, really would feel bad if it happened again. Awful to have in the run up...

    Basso

I have been vegetarian since childhood but I get what you're saying, I probably do use meat by products like leather sometimes. But even if I weren't I do see some difference between eating meat and wearing real fur - I do see your point Burly Bear but, I don't quite agree. For one thing there...

    OMG....What is Jilly wearing??????

When I passed by the tv and saw that last night I honestly for a minute (well, a couple of seconds) tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and wondered if it was a fancy dress day at QVC I hadn't heard about. I like Jilly and I think she is attractive, but that top was just- no.

    Alison Keenan

I don't know why but I've never actually noticed her talking fast. Maybe it is because I do the same, people are always telling me to slow down, and I'm not even selling anything so I don't know what my excuse is.

    Kim Mendelson

So do I! Some odd facial twitches are creeping in along with the crazy giggling. Whatever it is doesn't do her memory any harm though, she reels off measurements on everything.

    Decleor question

Thanks for all the advice. Had a look on cheap smells, looks like a great site. I think I might play safe and go for a body product as a gift, but tempted to try the Prolagene myself too.

    Decleor question

Thank you for the helpful info Nikkid  Good to hear you're getting such good results. Sounds quite tempting, as I type decleor products are appearing in an ad above - the power of cookies!

    Decleor question

I've been wondering about looking online for offers on this for xmas gift. I was wondering if anyone knows what the smells are like, eg. the bath gel or the face creams? Also which creams would be suitable for mature (60s, 70s) skin (would hydra floral be ok for that?) and which for oilier...

Dennis Basso on the cal ridges programme now.

Didn't see Claridges programme, but find Basso's career in fur revolting, ditto his extravagant use of his ill gotten gains. And ditto his coats, though I'm sure some of you have some that do look good, but in the main not keen. I should know, I have one, very poorly made and overpriced...

    QVC email update

I've never bought the range either, they don't usually send any stuff in the mail to me except occasionaly ranges I've bought on a TSV. I didn't realise Elemis was such a big seller for them.

    QVC email update

I just got a postcard through the door about it...this morning. Luckily wasn't interested anyway, hope no one got it and was really pleased, only to find out it is over. At least it is their own marketing too and not just customer's items they can't deliver on time.

"Mummy what does getting a period mean?"

The glasgow fishwives sound kind of fun. They should get some real ones of them on presenting.

Jilly Halliday was pulled out the show after one minute of presenting

Well she is Sid Halliday's daughter, shouldn't she get bonus points for that? That is a real music and entertainment pedigree, none of this I was in Grange Hill mullarkey. I've noticed for a while that maybe due to all the complexities of booking presenters in advance for late shows, they seem...

    Bit p*ssed off...

I agree with Burly Bear that if QVC kept better records on the reasons for returns it would be much better as they wouldn't be contacting people with 'the letter' who have in fact had valid reasons for returning a lot. But in terms of their sales pitch pretty much anything is 'valid' because...

QVC "Christams Gifts?" You certainly wouldn't want to receive.

Your gift sounds just gorgeous Snarly, I think they'll love it, I would!

    can you help me??

I'm sceptical about the blurb but I just saw this while looking for xmas gifts, if it is of any interest- http://www.feelunique.com/p/Medik8-Dark-Circles-15ml Actually, just noticed after copying that it is only 15ml!!

    I am so frustrated . . . . .

Me too, tried to check something the other day and for every hour all I could see was the same group of something - Kipling I think. What are they doing?

    Smaller sizes not catered for.

I'm 5'4 and last summer decided I could get away with wearing a dress from Long Tall Sally that everyone told me looked so nice. Well, after I saw the photos of me in it I am never wearing it again. I made the mistake of thinking it is mainly the hemline that is longer on tall clothes but it...

    Julia on 10pm Decleor show

This pink/yellow/neutral undertones to skin comes up with make up too. Does anyone know any tricks for telling which you are?

    Bit p*ssed off...

Sending stuff back, especially when unused, really is worse for you than them because of the inconvenience and p and p costs. If they could be accurate in their descriptions then that might help. Point out that they've obviously filtered you out by mistake since you're not someone buying to...
