    Gatineau TSV 01/01/2013

They're selling it like its a cure for cancer! Autumn I was only quoting exactly what Mr F said - it was meant in a way that the TSV was being sold as though it was the holy grail, the answer to world peace etc. My closest friend has breast cancer and I doubt very much she would be offended...

    Gatineau TSV 01/01/2013

They're selling it like its a cure for cancer! So says Mr Flamenco who has endured 10 minutes of watching the Gatineau TSV! He's laughing at the earnest efforts of Andrew and Alison flogging the TSV. I've noticed the new packaging too which looks better than previous packaging.

So what's the plan for New Year's Eve?

Sazza, hope you're feeling better soon. Doctors surgeries are the worst for picking up 'lergies.

So what's the plan for New Year's Eve?

Sadly my nose will be to the grindstone while I finish off the case portfolio for a specialist legal qualification. I've got a deadline to finish it by Thursday. 20,000 words done and another 3,000 - 4,000 words to go. I was even at it on Boxing Day grrrr. I'm fighting the clock now so will...

What QVC item did you get as a Christmas gift??

Mr Flamenco &I didn't do presents this year, so we could give daughter a good Christmas. We did however get lovely presents from our daughter. I'm having a Cath Kidston moment so I got a CK spectacles case and a CK apron which is just what I needed! My other aprons are in the last legs. Hubby...

CH - here we go again........

On that point you are not alone!

CH - here we go again........

I agree. I wouldn't dream of questioning why someone chooses not to have children. Its none of my business! I just got the impression that those of you who don't have children are resentful towards those of us that do - because you feel you are paying for our choices.

    The dreaded high street

You help Graham keep the site going - the running costs are enormous. You also get access to The Drop. Its a very small donation in the grand scheme of things.

CH - here we go again........

Well, hopefully there will still be the NHS which is rather heavily frequented by those of a certain age. The next generation of tax payers are needed to pay to build and maintain the roads you drive on, to help pay for your rubbish to be collected (your council tax doesn't cover all of that)...

    The dreaded high street

As you're a huge QVC fan and a frequent contributor on this forum, have you considered paying £6 to Graham and becoming a VIP shopper on this site?

CH - here we go again........

Burlz, you can feel cozy and content in the knowledge that you'll probably get a "rebate" in your later years as those grown up children in turn work and pay tax to keep you in a state pension and in free healthcare! Swings in roundabouts!

You are wrong. The law says that sellers are obliged to provide a refund, repair or replacement where goods are faulty or of unsatisfactory quality. That is your statutory right. The law does not oblige sellers to offer a refund if you just don't like what you bought/ changed your mind/ seen...

    Yankee Candle TSV 6/1/13

The Yankee Candle market is saturated - you can buy them everywhere these days. Personally, if I was thinking of setting up a candle business, I'd want to sell Kringle Candles. They are starting to become known and are very good quality imo. We have a local candle shop where we live that sells...

My Best (I mean Worst) Christmas Present, thank you QVC

Great news Graham! I'd agree about not having all your eggs in one basket. Use 2013 to create your "insurance policy" so to speak.

QVC Male Presenter Of The Year 2012

Julian Ballantyne got me vote. He has a degree of sincerity, unlike most of the others. I'd have voted for Miceal in second place. Craig Rowe would have got my Worst Presenter vote as I have a deep rooted suspicion that whilst he may be all smarmy and smiley on telly, he's a bit of a princess...

QVC Female Presenter Of The Year 2012

I voted for Jill Franks - purely because she's hugely unpopular on this forum and thought I'd shake up the voting a bit! She actually doesn't bother me too much, as I just take everything she says with a big pinch of salt anyway.
