From a code online… I didn’t even have to do any advertising for them….
That presentation was the first time I had seen that sewing machine on sale myself.I guess they are practicing what they preach and not reading the forum. If they did they'd have noticed that I pointed this out a little while ago, and done something about it?
Have to agree with you comment about watches.I'm far from being a youngster these days, stopped wearing a watch years back. I think the watch I last wore needed a new battery and I kept putting off getting it replaced. Just started using my phone for the time when out and about, or the clock in the car. And no need for one in the house. Plus I don't necessarily miss the feeling of wearing a watch, it used to slightly annoy me sometimes.
I never knew whether it was true or not, but Johnny was supposed to have ended one show with the wordsI've been watching Fanny Cradock cooks for Christmas on BBC4. I'd forgotten how ham fisted and rubbish she was. She used a pair of garden secateurs to cut open her poultry, and they were dirty and rusty, even though she insisted they had been sterilised.
Shall i be rude and add to that? I don't wish to offend anyone at this season of goodwill.I never knew whether it was true or not, but Johnny was supposed to have added one show with the words
‘I hope all your cakes turn out like Fannies.’
Eek!
Does the Gammon come well done?
What does clearance mean? Tw*t, no idea Paul please explain.
It's high time they provided Pete with an official translator, as English isn't his first language,Similar to a Patrick Phillipe according to Pedro. Must be Patek's brother. I thought Mike sold these out last night, must be bounce backs again.v
And do younger people even wear traditional watches these days? Even the ladies I was away with last weekend (same age as me) don't wear them. I do partly out of habit and to avoid getting my phone out of my bag just to tell the time.
I guess if they do wear one its a Fitbit.
I’m of an age when you had one watch. This was in the age when watches were wind up. I got a solid gold watch with a leather strap for passing my 11+ exam. Mum and Dad had saved up all year for it. Only needed the strap replacing occasionally. I still have and it still works. The only thing wrong with it is the dial has become discoloured. It’s 62 years old!
unfortunately I can no longer wear a watch after my wrist got blistered and burnt by my, now binned, Fitbit.

.
As regards their target audience, someone mentioned that older people may buy them for grandchildren after hearing all the guff about investment pieces. Is the IW target younger people though?
I don't wear a watch every day, usually only when eating out or similar. Not sure how many I have tbh, I would guess 10 or 12, none of which I paid more than £50 or so for. I don't own any jewellery apart from silver chains with St Christophers on.
The rest of the time I wear a Mi Band 2 tracker on one wrist, it has great battery life and stores data for weeks at a time and on the other a Huawei Watch Fit 2, has a bigger brighter more customizable screen, but battery life under a week and data stored about the same length of time. I don't like using phone with bluetooth turned on all the time in case anyone wonders.
First part is great and such a nice part of your life.
I assume you mean you ended up with weird blisters around the wrist from the strap. I got that from my Huawei, a common problem it seems and can be solved by wearing it more loosely. Something to do with the strap and moisture/sweat on the skin.
Sod it! I'm feeling naughty! Moist and Gooey!! Don't go into a swoon Muttley!Shall i be rude and add to that? I don't wish to offend anyone at this season of goodwill.
Well I need a lie down as I've never heard such filth. It's OK, I've recovered now. Normal service will be resumed shortly...Sod it! I'm feeling naughty! Moist and Gooey!! Don't go into a swoon Muttley!
