Yes I saw this in the night, I also didn’t realise he was ill, although now looking at his social media I can see he’d been in hospital.

A real shock, RIP Glenn!!
 
Have you noticed that no one mentioned this on air and they are cheerfully selling their wares as if nothing had happened? Why do you think that is?

At this stage, I think we have to give them the benefit of the doubt that they're waiting for it to become public knowledge out of respect/courtesy. At the moment, it looks as though people only know because of social media posts.

Some of the presenters (past and present) have left their own little tributes on his own Facebook page.

Once it becomes public knowledge though, it would be nice to think that, at the very least, Gemporia as a business can put out a little message or statement - and at best, perhaps put a little montage together to show for a couple of minutes at the start of one of the peak time shows. Glenn Lehrer has been known to accidentally put his foot in it on air a few times in the past - so there must be a collection of 'blooper' moments that they can find to put a nice little tribute together with.

I'd hate to think they'll go down the shystery route of doing a 'Glenn Lehrer hour' and using it as an opportunity to make some money from his passing. They wouldn't stoop that low, would they? One would hope not.
 
Would it be very wrong of me to think that, not necessarily 'overnight', but probably gradually, (giving them the benefit of the doubt), Gemporia will 'up the price' of any Lehrer items they have, or have left?

Wouldn't surprise me.

It also wouldnt surprise me if their tribute on Sunday is followed by an 'hour of Glenn Lehrer'. I hope not. But I'm fully expecting it to be.

Interestingly, if you go to their site now and search "Lehrer" only empty ring boxes come up. I can't help but wonder if they have pulled all his pieces to do a show and max the profit.

At least they reverted to normal - and didn't try to profit from Glenn's death by flogging his jewellery.

I must admit, I'm pleasantly surprised that they didn't take advantage of the situation. It appears that they do have some morals after all.
