Create & Craft not taking payments

Is there not some sort of consumer and/or broadcasting legislation that makes it illegal to keep showing phone numbers and other ordering information when the company is in a state of flux? Or are they covered legally by the strapline along the bottom of the screen?

To me it's a ludicrous situation.

I agree it's a bit ridiculous to broadcast sales programmes to keep the EPG slot when no sales are taking place, presumably to avoid the company trading whilst insolvent.
 
I was sent this in an email from Anna Marie Designs yesterday:

"As many of you may already know, Create and Craft are currently not broadcasting live. We have been informed that they are in the process of securing additional investment, and hopefully, this will be completed by the end of this week.

This will be a relief for all customers, suppliers, and the staff. We are scheduled to do shows on the 22nd of October, featuring our brand new Starry Night Christmas Die Collection and our popular Jingle Paper Pads, this time also in 12" Square. We hope that everything will be resolved in time to allow us to be back on live TV in Oundle.

Despite this, please rest assured that everything is business as usual at Anna Marie Designs. We will continue to post new YouTube and Facebook content, including video demonstrations featuring this new die collection and old favorites. As always, please check out our website for our latest offers."

I sincerely hope all these smaller companies can ride out this storm, they don't deserve to be sucked under when the mothership sinks.

Shame on C&C that we have to depend on suppliers to update us on the situation.

See that AAL crafts on Hobbymaker tomorrow. With their short broadcasting hours and the numbers of companies they’ll be lucky to get an hour a month. Crafters Companion and Hunkydory might have to cut their hours back🤣.

The only presenter left that I can watch is Nigel (seems as if Zena has left), so unless they get some decent presenters, HM can count me out watching.
 
This is going to sound daft.

But Create and Craft helped me through Lockdown, as it was like a Safe space, you were able to watch a program, and not hearing about Covid.

Plus Dawn Wheeler and Jodie Johnson, lived on the premises for months, away from family, I remember Dawn was giving the Love Family, her dirty clothes so it could washed.

Is ALL, All and Create
 
It’s not the guests I have a problem with it’s the presenters. I’ve been quite enjoying watching YouTube and website live demos from various craft brands.
 
Highlight Crafts, which includes Tattered Lace, have issued a statement on Facebook that they have severed their business relationship with Create & Craft. If Create & Craft returns there will be a big gap in their suppliers.
 
I suspect that too many companies have been left out of pocket again. Technology has also moved on and most seem to have an online presence. They’ll get all the profits with C&C taking their percentage. It’s the staff that I feel sorry for.
 
It’s Behind the scenes staff you feel for. And the smaller businesses.

Think I read on here. Dean & Leonie have done some shows for Highlight Crafts so that’s an option for them, I would feel sad if we’ve seen the end of Dawn Wheeler, you can see HobbyMaker giving her a try out, especially, seeing Andy Love is very involved with them
