According to the models, and Debbie, it appears to come up on the small side. I can never see the point in having an expensive waterproof coat which barely covers your backside! Top half would stay dry, but your legs would get soaked!

Debbie is about the only presenter that advises about the fit of the clothes and shoes. She actually asked the model if she’d go up a size answer was yes. This has been mentioned before on this forum that the presenter should ask the models. . I also noticed the modesty model has been smiling too. Perhaps they read what we suggest on here.

Think Jenny Blackmore was miffed as she looked daggers at Flinty. she said she’d go true to size as she felt the heat and never wore a thick jumper.

unpopular probably but ideal world..particularly Loen Love more often than not would ask the models( who were far better at wearing/dressing the clothes than most of the shower on QVC) about the fit and made realistic comparisons to other brands.

I really liked Loen Love, she was a hoot. I think it's good that Debbie asks about fit because she's short and on the round side and she always says she's a 16 High Street to give customers an idea. No one wants to buy a coat over £100, pay more to get it home, can't do it up then have to pay to return it. Not everyone has dieted themselves to a stick like Jenny Blackhurst who probably thought Debs' comments would affect sales.

I wondered in Jenny Blackhurst was ill as she’s so skinny these days. It’s strange how things change over the years. I went to school with a girl who was extremely thin, she got sent to a sanitarium as they thought she had TB. For every thing she ate she never putt on a pound, me- I just look at food and put on 2 lbs.. And no she didn’t have anything wrong with her was just naturally thin.

I need a waterproof coat but the sizing issue put me off this one. You could see it was small on Debbie and the model. It was also too short. It’s expensive for something that may not fit.

That’s doubly confusing bc Seasalt is generally notorious for being generous in its sizing/cut.

In fact I find I go down a dress size in most of their clothing…

Also just clicked on link to item and the sliding bar which gives a guide as to sizing on QVC website, the marker is quite to far to right “big fitting”?!

If you’re a fan of SS, do check out their eBay outilet shop.

They’ve recentky had a clearance on the outlet - lots of dresses around £12.50/15 with free post (I even got my god mum who’s a size 6 at SS two pmt sleeve tops for £5 and £7.50!!)
It’s only the dregs left there now but still plenty in the outlet as a whole often up to half price…

That's interesting Loopy as the presenters were definitely saying that coat came up small. I wonder if it was another of those batches of clothes that came out wrong and they flogged them all to Q for a TSV. The Monsoon things you see on QVC are pretty awful compared to the things you can buy in Monsoon's own shops.

I have this jacket which I bought a few years ago in a Seasalt sale in a dark green. It is a snug fit so I would say definitely not a case of a "faulty batch", it is just the style. It is quite warm having some fur lining at the top, waterproof and has worn really well. However, it is not the sort of jacket you would wear with very bulky clothes underneath so if you wanted it more roomy they are right that you would need to go up a size. However, it is great for those times when you don't want a long coat or one of those very hot padded jackets.

I've got a similar Joules coat but I don't wear it that often as I'm never warm enough in it. I'll take all the hot padded jackets - I love them and I've been wearing mine all summer as it's been cold up here.

Or made exclusively for QVC??

Do we think the "made for QVC" items are lesser quality and therefore cost less and the TSVs seem more of a bargain? I'm getting to the point where I'm thinking do I actually need to buy anything from anywhere. I seem to have an awful lot of things that are packed up in boxes that I haven't looked at for a long time. A big clear out is due - not to be replaced.
