Trying to figure out why my nails have suddenly peeled, all of them, and my timeline shows this product as only thing different I am using. I haven't tried that one but have used Nailtrition & Nail Defense from Orly, both made my tissue paper thin nails even worse. I now use Triple 5 Nail Treatment by M&S Autograph, it's a bit gloopy but works for my nails. I love Autograph products, BUAV approved & not expensive.

When my nails were in serious trouble I got great results with Leighton Denny Renovate.

I turn mine inside out and use them on the other hand as my left doesn't get so much work!.Poundland sell 2 pairs for £1. They're not as thick as Marigolds but last almost as long. I'm the same with tights - been known to cut the laddered legs off and wear two pairs with only one good leg each! I've also been known to darn thicker tights as I do my socks :mysmilie_516:

Can you get hold of a bottle of Mavala Scientifique? It's only used on the free edge so not much good if your peeling goes deeper onto the nail, but if it's only the edges this stuff is excellent.

Strange you should post as I have had the same problem. I used the basecoat and a colour and I had to take it off soon after. The nails peeled and it made them ridgy and orange in colour. I was very surprised as it is supposed to be an old established brand with a good reputation, but I certainly didn't get the sort of results I had expected. Unless QVC are selling really old stock? It was also gloopy to use.

Thank you Moth. I look after my nails religiously and this happening all of a sudden shocked me. Haven’t had the ridges but yes a faint discolouration, the bottle was quite free flowing. I bought this set for this product so not impressed at all. The box was left by courier behind a plant pot at my front door, I’m wishing it was stolen now!
