Yodel ?!?!

There are horrendous and shouldn't be in business. Their assignment number didn't even work on the phone and they automatically hang up so you can't even speak to them!

Anyway I hopefully have some good news which I'll post once confirmed.

Credit when it's due!

I posted the other day on a thread entitled 'Yodel'. I won't bore you with the details but suffice to say that Yodel are horrendous to deal with. 2 laptops costing £310 (ish the acer tsv) went completely missing. After wasting a lot of time chasing Yodel and having made 3 phone calls to qvc customer service department (not one of them returned my call as they had promised!!) I decided to ask for a refund of the goods which I hadn't received and asked to have my account closed - I was so p'eed off and was serious. Anyone that's had dealings with Yodel will know why.

Anyway a Team Leader called Cath phoned me. Rather than making excuses, she apologised immediately, said that qvc's customer service had failed on the occasion and that Yodel's dealings with me were totally unacceptable. They've had numerous other complaints. This I believe is the first time they've used Yodel for Acer and as they have so many dealings with Acer they've escalated it. I get the impression that I'm far from being the only complainer in the last week or so.

Anyway I have my laptops now and more to the point - Cath has refunded me £100 off the order!!!! All I can say is that in this instance they wanted to keep my business, they've apologised and addressed it and made me what I consider to be very adequate compensation. I was expecting a tenner or a date with Anne Dawson :)

So well done qvc :)

Oops my thread has been moved. Guess I should have continued the old one - sorry :-(

What would you do iloveshopping :) . . . . As you love shopping ha ha.

i think I'll just buy the boys some more Xmas presents - but as they want hockey sticks, rugby balls, cricket bats and games for PS3 I doubt it will be heading back qvc's way .... Yet!

Nice result!!! Although it's like saying sorry - worthless, it just should never have happened in the first place!! Glad it all worked out for you though. Reminds me of the dreaded DX they use for LG bags. Avoid at all costs!!

I ordered some items from Amazon, had an immediate confirmation email, followed shortly afterwards by a dispatch email with a tracking number.

Unfortunately it is with Yodel, which Amazon haven't used before for me.

Its not more computer stuff or knife sharpeners, is it ??

I have had items delivered by Yodel from Amazon often, Amazon use so many of the courier companies!

There's a petition on amazon for them to stop using Yodel too. I had to laugh earlier. I am on leave this week sorting out all sorts of stuff, including christmas shopping. I was lucky enough to get a ligtning deal that sold out in seconds for one of those children's pretend kitchens. It was free delivery, very large item and as I only bought it yesterday I was very pleased to see it was delivered today. The delivery man, rang the doorbell and then when I opened the door he was on his way back to the van to get my large parcel out. I said he must be busy with Amazon this week, and he said he wished people would not order and then be out when the delivery comes. He said he has to load up the van, then lift the parcel out of the van, and if they were going to be out they should pay for a saturday delivery, otherwise they won't get their item for a fortnight. I said that it was a good job that I was in then! I wonder if they leave parcels in the van, ring the bell, assume people are out and get back in the van and drive off without waiting to give the person a chance to answer the door. I am sure that if I had not been in the living room and able to get to the door immediately that this guy would have driven off with my parcel.

A good thing about the QVC checkout process is that I can see who is going to be delivering my parcel. I've never had any issues with Hermes and it's the same lady each time. Any time they've sent smaller things with Royal Mail the delivery time has taken an extra day or so - I even had to phone up once because I thought a parcel had been lost they took so long.

I've started sending them into my work to make sure there's someone to sign for them each time but I can honestly say that if it ever pops up as 'Yodel' on my checkout option I'll very likely not go through with the order at all.

They are absolute tossers, we live very rurally and our driveway is up a lane.

At the ranch gates, which close off the driveway from the lane way ,we have a very large plastic chest, where most delivery drivers know to place the packages.

Yodel? DD and I came back from a cocktail afternoon tea yesterday, to find that the Yodel driver had actually got out of the van ,walked up the driveway ( which can park 6 vehicles) to prop the ****** parcel at the back door ! Defies all logic really !

I should've added that I had the same suitcase woman yesterday asking me to take in a parcel for next door - no problem, but next door said the instructions had been to deliver to her mother, further up our road...:headbang:

Hope you get gifted well for that

I'm the one who takes in everyone's parcels Yorko and if I'm out when mine come I have to go and ruddy collect them!:angel:

Thats poo. Im lucky as I have a neighbour who has a career of looking out of the window and nothing gets past them, very rarely have to pick up parcels from the depot. I usually get her a bottle of wine at Christmas but maybe I should upgrade to a pair of EMU boots as according to Q it makes me a cheapskate

Yodel are the reincarnation of Home Delivery Network, the name has changed but the rubbish service remains the same.

I am away for the weekend, but tracking showed that Yodel delivered to my house on Friday.

I can only hope that they have put it into my Parcelsafe by the front door, and then locked it.
