I warmed them through. They don’t need thorough cooking though.Did you heat them? When I first got them years ago I ate them straight from the pack but on about the 3rd pack I read the directions and sort of thought they had to be cooked so I may have been eating raw pastry!
Asda used to do packets of frangipani tarts individually wrapped and we must have bought their entire stock but they haven’t had them for years but then again our Asda isn’t great.
ust watching the finale. 4 packets of marshmallows p and p £5.95!!! Is Tom Cruise delivering them in a helicopter I wonder? Ridiculous.I can’t believe the price of the postage for the food, an £18 cake, selection of Godminster cheese about £27 & Nana Lily’s Chutneys about £26 postage on all 3 is £5.95 yet Philip Schofield’s Gin advent calendar costing £95 only £3.95 postage. What planet are they on?
A small tip for sinking fruit in cakes Add an extra ounce or two of plain flour and make sure you fold the flour in gentlyThe warm cherries over vanilla ice cream sound sublime. I can't find vanilla ice cream here. Too simple for Italians in gelato land. Every other flavour you can think of. Crema is the closest. Although I'm no cook I'm going to try to bake the online Sainsbury's rich fruit cake recipe. It takes 9 hours to bake at a very low heat. I don't think (hope) I could ruin such a simple recipe. My only fear is that all the fruit will drop to the bottom of the cake. This has always happened to me in the past. Still edible, though. I can buy marzipan on line and I'll try some royal icing. Adventurous. Living Big!!
I've always had brilliant meat from Costco. !!
The Real Pie Company..
Silly price, but I'd think about buying them if Johnny Depp delivered them!!J

Con artists!! It’s now called (I think) Baker Boys after the RPC went into liquidation and Brett(?) SIL bought them over - no change - same people - same pies. The Real Pie Company..
Mum used to stir the dried fruit into a spoonful of flour before adding to the mix. She also washed the glacé cherries to get rid of the syrup.A small tip for sinking fruit in cakes Add an extra ounce or two of plain flour and make sure you fold the flour in gently
Worse pies I have ever seen. I have bought pies in the supermarket for 50p that were tastier and had a decent amount of filling.Con artists!! It’s now called (I think) Baker Boys after the RPC went into liquidation and Brett(?) SIL bought them over - no change - same people - same pies.
I thought I remembered my Mother dusting glacé cherries with flour when making a cherry loaf to stop them sinking to the bottom.A small tip for sinking fruit in cakes Add an extra ounce or two of plain flour and make sure you fold the flour in gently
Me too! I eat the pastry, the dog gets the meat!I would like pork pies with no filling at all as it is the special pastrey they use that I really like.
Yum!Living on my own, my Christmas treat is buying a jar of M & S cherries in Kirsch, warmed up in a saucepan and poured over vanilla ice cream !!! bellissamo ! and buying the small iced Christmas cake which I open around New Year.
If we ever had pork pies (which was rare), my mum used to remove the meat and give it to my dad. Then she'd put peas in the pie shell.I would like pork pies with no filling at all as it is the special pastrey they use that I really like.
And do not, repeat, do not go easy on the Kirsch, add more!Living on my own, my Christmas treat is buying a jar of M & S cherries in Kirsch, warmed up in a saucepan and poured over vanilla ice cream !!! bellissamo ! and buying the small iced Christmas cake which I open around New Year.
