Charlie has just said he is having a brainstorming session with the buyers tomorrow.

since there doesn't appear to be an excess of any sort of knowledge or common sense at Q I assume someone else has been given the task to provide same.

Well, it's going to need someone who has been socialising internally, has a game plan for moving things forward, is good at thinking outside the box and making sound strategic decisions in order that human assets are empowered and feel valued, which in return, adds value to the corporation and subsequently filters down to the end user increasing shareholder profits. :wonder:

That reminds me, got my own meeting to attend tomorrow - deep joy!

Sounds like you're the very person for the job Frazzled. Is that where you're heading tomorrow ??

Lol!

I just have to listen to the crap, look like I know what their talking about, and be there at a later date to help them put it right - in simple terms!

a mate sent me a great card, it was a cartoon entitled "ideas meeting" with a figure standing at a flip chart, pen poised, saying "say what you think" and one of the participants has a speech bubble with the immortal words "f**k you"

Oh dear LIAM, i sympathise its horrible..

Pour yourself a stiff drink, that is of course unless. they're back tomorrow, in which case don't!!!

in my day of "management speak" we talked about blue sky thinking, joined-up thinking, ring-fencing situations, not ignoring the elephant in the room etc. Those were the days.

I wonder why Charlie Brook would be meeting with buyers? Surely they would know more about what to buy than he would! He is merely a puppet on a string. A salesman full of perfunctory piffle! Maybe he's going to be QVC's new self-proclaimed god of lingerie, persuading the buyers to buy some knickers with a little embroidered rose / bow on the front that makes them so much more attractive! larger cup sizes? OR maybe he will tell them to order more Diane Gilman jeans with a slight stretch and sequiny appliqué?

the scary thing is, by the end of a management course, you're speaking it...

You Guys! Taking me down memory lane too, 'cept add in a little JEnglish, as I worked for Japanese company. They asked for a report for Friday, but if you didn't hand it in early by 2 days, it was considered 'late'. Go Figure. I miss those days. NOT!

Hahahaha!
I presume that you will be gathering supporting evidence and submitting a paper containing the appropriate documentation & management summary tomorrow then following your meeting today?

Well I think that if Q do as you advise Frazzled their 200 remaining customers will really appreciate it! They can't use the internet so they won't care that it's down on the 1st national stay at home it's snowing Friday, they'll still be in awe of the odd 4 easy pays & marvelling at a tablet, bless 'em! Sounds like my Mum (ahhhh) x.
