Seems to me QVC are in stagnation mode at the moment. There haven't been many new lines, but there have been endless outlet /sale/ anniversary shows trying to flog off stuff that's been in clearance for ages.
I keep an eye on the gold earrings numbers. Usually, after Vicenza, there are over 300 styles, with the number dropping to 200ish later in the year. Last year, there was virtually nothing from Vicenza, and currently there are just 86 gold earrings. If I use this as an indicator, it suggests that QVC are not buying in new inventory.
I can't remember the last time I felt excited about an upcoming show, because there would be something new and interesting. (Pompoos was fun, but not in a lust-to-buy way.)
Are QVC in danger of losing their audience / customer base out of lack of interest?
