I find this range pretty boring and overhyped for a nylon bag and a piece of monkey ,maybe there are others who love this range but for that amount of money ,I would expect better ,just because it can be chucked in a washing machine ,does not make it designer to charge that amount .

I have liked Kipling from years ago when I bought 2 in their Antwerp shop probably before their QVC days. They are lightweight & great for travelling.I do agree over the last few years I have become bored with the styles and the prices have shot up & they are not the value they once were.I did buy a TSV some time ago ( the one with the quilted effect) & I like it's size & versatility but there is very little to tempt me these days and I generally don't like the prints they present as exclusives to QVC. Guess my 'love affair' is over!

i love kipling but not as much as i think as i have sold well over 20 handbags in the last few years on ebay. but i always use them. have done for at least 12 years. when they get dirty i wash them carefully and i have never thrown one away because its threadbare or the zip has broken. i only have three now as the special ones i dont use i have gifted to my grabby daughters who like them to.

i have several puppy wash bags. one that i use for my gel nails kit i can even fit the lamp in it. they last forever. dont buy from qvc only amazon and some sellers on e bay.
managed to get a trolley case for just over £30 on e bay thats well over £60 saving and i know i will enjoy using it. i have an umbrella and lots of purses in leather and nylon. its the quality i love and some of the prints not all. i love black more than life

Same for me, I bought the quilted tsv in cream, and also a black one. I love them both, all the compartments have made me more organised. But having said that, I wouldn't buy anymore, I'm quite happy with what I've got and fortunately the monkey isn't one of the furry ones, so I don't need to take it off.

I find them boring too.I have two Kipling bags. One is a small nylon shoulder bag bought from QVC when it was on offer and the other is a lovely overnight bag made from a velvet cord which is from a High St shop specialising in luggage- bought during a sale. Both bags were purchased about eight years ago.The shoulder bag is of course washable and the large bag has been sponged clean.I have never seen a bag like my large one on QVC.If one goes on the Kipling site they have lots of different styles. QVC seem to offer the same kind of styles.I think they have the cheaper styles as Kipling are very expensive for what they are i:e nylon/canvas bags /synthetic materials.I would never buy more as I cannot justify the price and the current styles do not appeal to me at all . However,my large bag has been brilliant and I use it a lot.

N.B. The monkeys met a happy end. They went to live with a child.

I'm very pro Kipling. I've bought one or two from QVC but mainly from Kipling sales, Amazon, and Vente Privee.

They are excellent quality, lightweight, capacious, great for organising, and extremely durable. They fit my lifestyle and needs perfectly.

i got my eldest daughter and my sisters into kipling. and they have bought some of the leather bags that go for hundreds so thier devotion is far outstripping mine. but they must have cost pennies per wear as many many years later they still use those bags.. kipling are not just utility if you go to the big shops you will see some fabulous glam bags in the best leather available with outstanding styles

I have over 20 Kiplings. A couple were TSV's when they were under £40.00, the rest are from Ebay, Amazon, Tkmaxx and charity shops. I would say that my love affair with them is over. I still like them in the summer and for holidays but I'm using my grown up bags now.

Yes you're right, they're grossly over priced on QVC but they're not that price everywhere, like I say just QVC. QVC had a bag on once for £62.62 and £4.95 p&p, but I got this same bag on Amazon for £28 free p&p which wasn't too bad. I also buy them on Vente Privee when they have a sale on which again, they are a fraction of QVCs price. But yes I agree, they're on Amazon under a different name for about £12 but because the same company in China make them, they obviously can't call them Kipling, so it just shows you it is actually the name you pay for. I've actually gone off them now to be honest but yes I agree, depending where you buy them, they can be overpriced simple nylon bags, with a monkey that probably cost pence to make.

I use a Kipling bag as my everyday work bag. I dislike the ones sold on QVC the Basic range which to me are very same like. I prefer a proper shoulder bag not one with a detachable shoulder strap. The ones I have are from the City Range which have some leather detailing on them. My brown April I used for a good 7-8 years day in and day out. No fluffy monkey and higher quality than the basic. I have a few which where US ones again with leather straps and detailing, cannot think of the range name at the moment.

As I said, I am very fond of Kipling: very practical. I am not fussed about most designer ranges (I don't consider Kipling to be one) and find many "desginer" bags attrociously cheap-looking and over-embellished designs look just the same as what you can get on most markets around the country for a few quid, yet the name on it attracts 3- and sometimes 4-figure price-tags...

I think handbags - as with most other things - come in all shapes and sizes, materials and colours because we all like and need different things in a handbag, and are prepared to pay different amounts for them. What a dull world it would be if we all liked the same things and agreed about every opinion.

QVC have lost their way badly with Kipling - their insistance on so many exclusive designs and patterns means they are selling some really horrible stuff that you can't wear with your wardrobe. Kipling are not bags to be changed every time you change your outfit (in my opinion), so the cost per wear of the QVC bags is too high. Far too bags are classic styles in classic colours nowadays... and most of the patterns are headache-inducing to me.

i am boring i dont really do colours and prints on anything. the odd time i have bought a print from kipling i have sold it. i tire of colours and prints. the city range is lovely my type of style donna

shopperholic, can you remember the name they sell under on Amazon please?

I have looked on Aliexpress and its often Kipppppling or kkkkipling or similar there.

lol

I do like my Kipling bags. I like the lightweight and the washability.

I have a few lovely (expensive) leather bags, but the weight annoys me and that's BEFORE I start filling it with my rubbish.

I like to match my Kipling bag colours to my Skechers shoe colours!!

But I am old and very arthritic and I makes me chuckle to be on a mobility scooter with bright pink shoes and handbag.

It doesn't take much to amuse me!

Yes I agree, some of the print bags I have found very restrictive with what I can wear with them, and I find them lurking in the back of the wardrobe, but I do like the embossed one colour style ones or the plain ones. The appeal for me is the lightness of them and the durability, but I would not buy one from Q, they are far too expensive and some of the designs are awful.
I have had some great bargains from Amazon, eBay and vente privee.
I agree that they are not cheap for what they are, and are not particularly smart but they suit me and my lifestyle

I can`t say I`m a Kipling fan but I was looking for a lightweight but roomy bag as my daily workhorse. I have lots of good leather bags but now I`m retired I don`t use them like I did when I was working. Nowadays I need a bag which is lightweight , which can be worn across body, has plenty of room in it and gives me 2 free hands to carry shopping bags. I looked at Kipling but didn`t like the price of them for what they are and I bought a look a likey one off Amazon which has been brilliant and has been used daily. This is it in the link below. I bought it in the Navy colour.
